They could literally trade every single player on the team and I wouldn't be upset. This is the most uninspiring group I've seen since I've been a fan. We have no entertaining players, we play an incredibly boring style, and the team has 0 chemistry. Just a collection of players right now, not a team. No culture.

This is the identity of the team, like it or not. Poorly built, dinosaur coach, obsolete structure with overpaid mediocre players. They cannot forecheck but play dump and chase. They cannot score on the PP consistently and the like of Magiapane cannot defend nor score.

I accept this is a franchise in failure, hopefully for a couple of years. Need someone new at the helm desperately. Not a fun season for hockey fans in town.

Said this before and I'll say it again (with a smaller tin foil hat than before): Sutter is coaching like he doesn't want Treliving back. He knows he is safe with his new contract and probably wants to be the next GM. Or what the heck, be both the coach and the GM lol.

I would 100% prefer to keep Brad than Sutter but with our ownership that's not going to happen.

I mean, they are better against decent teams so its not out totally out of whack to say they'd be a tough team in the playoffs.

Its getting there and needing to beat the teams beneath them to do so that's the problem.

I'd much rather keep Treliving over Sutter at this point. Only because I think Sutter is easier to replace. Who replaces Treliving? I still think hes done pretty well overall as GM. Kadri looks like an awful signing but Huberdeau and Weegar I think will be fine.

We lost a lot of offense and chemistry last off season, and Kadri shouldn't even be in the top 6 half the time. Have been really disappointed with him so far.

Wills has always been a Flames homer though, so he's not going to ever offer any meaningful analysis of the team. IMO, he has a hard time separating objective analysis with all the personal relationships he's built with players. He's quick to defend any player tooth and nail, and just refuses to lay any sort of criticism when the team plays bad.

Meh, glad I skipped through this one just to see the goals and knew right away OT would be bunk. Decided to watch all of OT and what a snoozefest. Whatever happened to the fast-paced fun extra time has turned into a boring snoozefest of players holding onto the puck for a couple minutes then coasting in and out of the zone until someone on either end screws up and a 2-1 wins it. Rinse and repeat for every OT game around the league. Boring AF. Wish there was some rule where if you purposely go past the redline or even O-zone that you lose possession automatically.
