Or maybe Kadri and Huberdeau are bad fits for the team, and you can't build NHL rosters like it's a video game?

To those of you hoping that Sutter gets fired, do you really think Murray Edwards is going to fire him before his contract even kicks in? We’re stuck with him. He’s more likely to become GM than he is to get fired. He’s the most protected person in the entire organization

Molasses skating, slow processing the game, lack of talent, poor execution, weak goaltending, garbage play in OT, tape to skate passes, lack of discipline, poorly timed mental lapses, posts and crossbars, Kadri, management and coaching misreads, and a crappy locker room.

18 overtime losses in a season is the record.
Flames will surpass it this year. Because they are good at it.

Maybe we promote Maloney? Unlike a lot of people in here, I don't think it would be a bad thing.

Bro. Just baptize this fanbase into a new age, free of sutters and Sutter connections.
Give us new blood with a new perspective. An eye for talent who is not afraid of promoting youth.
That's what this fanbas desperately needs

Huberdeau and Kadri are more protected.
If they really want to keep Lindholm then he will be too.

You need to win more games, it doesn't matter who its against...point is they aren't missing the playoffs because they only took 5 of 6 points from the Yotes.

I think it’s more likely that Huberdeau and/or Kadri are traded before Sutter is fired. At least this off-season

The Flames would be giving up significant assets to trade either.

Glad I didn't go to that garbage game. The parts of the game I did watch, Arizona looked a lot quicker and it was even more evident in OT.
So Sutter and BT have a rift, Sutter has become obnoxiously stubborn with his player management and deployment, to stick it to BT? And we are going to get rid of BT? I'm not BT fan and want him gone too, but at this point Sutters decisions feel like self sabotage. TOI for Huberdeau is 13 min, Lucic is 11 min? I don't care if Huberdeau forgot how to skate, that is insanely stupid.
The handling of Rudzicka, the love for Lewis, I mean I don't even want to start. The team looks old and slow, and the coach makes decisions to optimize that flaw, not try and minimize it.
The organization top to bottom right now is terrible, ownership, management, coaches and players. I hope its reflected in season ticket renewals.

I never said Calgary was Boston...just that "they missed because they lost to bad teams" is way too simple. Everyone losses to bad teams.
They didn't win enough games, heck they should have beat Boston at home more than they should have won tonight

Could be running Ritchie-Ruzicka-Duehr and that’d be a decent-in-a-pinch third line but instead it’s Lucic-Lewis-Duehr which would be a 4th line in the AHL.

How can ownership look at the current product and think to themselves, "this is the way"
Darryl is giving his brother a run for his money for square peg, round hole bench management
If ownership doesn't see a problem with what Sutter is doing with their hundred million dollar investments from last summer then there's no point in following these guys for a couple years until that nightmare extension is over

I think it's hyperbole to say this team is garbage top to bottom- we kill the advanced stats, we outshoot and outplay our opponents every game. We've been killed by a lack of scoring, a worthless PP, OT play, and bad goaltending. The first 3 are due, at least in part, to the stubborness of the coach. Tre built us a good team, but somewhere the chemistry is off. This ain't Tre's fault, I believe Sutter was an Edwards hire.

Just don't let him see the locker room culture firsthand prior to signing on the dotted line
