Glad Tkachuk is East so we don’t have to play him.

How the hell did Treliving manage to have Gaudreau walk, then replace him with one of the like..2?? better playmakers in the NHL using a worse player as a trade chip?

Holy ####ing ####.

We laughed at the NYR retool but we were the fools apparently.

Huberdeau got 115 pts playing with Benny and Reinhart
That's pretty decent!

Agreed.

I will applaud him now. Golf clap, even, maybe.

Let’s just be as negative as we can right now.

Assuming Mangiapane signs for 5.5AAV and Kylington 3.5AAV:

Still have roughly $1.5mil AAV in cap space. Interested in seeing if they move Monahan or a defenseman to make room for a #2C (Kadri?). I would think they'd want to give Mackey a shot after investing so much time in him.

I'm very confused why Florida did this deal. I'd prefer Huberdeau over Tkachuk straight up. I guess the contracts change things a bit but still.

I like the trade of he can re sign Huberdeau. The thing that has me worried is that we are a playoff team next year with this trade, which means that Tre won’t be trading Hub and Weeger if are competing for the cup so we could potentially lose both of them for nothing.

Gaudreau is also 29, and was about to be signed to 8 years. People talking about Huberdeau's age as an issue forget how old Gaudreau is.

And Huberdeau's game is likely to stay stronger for years longer than Gaudreau.

Huberdeau had the same points as Gaudreau and behind only McDavid by 8 points.

That Flames got the best player in this deal, the 2nd top scoring player in the league AND got a 1st, top 4 D and a top prospect as well?

Really hope they sign Huberdeau longterm. He is a complete hockey player. Back up the Brinks truck and lock him down with the Lucic and Monahan money.
