You would think EE would learn from that. But nope, he just went straight from the Gio contract to the Coleman contract, never missed a beat.
LOL I did not spend 5 years bitching about it. For sure I didn't like it initially and maybe for the first few seasons but he aged pretty gracefully and it worked out. I don't think Coleman will but I would be happy to be proven wrong.

I also thought Gio's contract would age horribly. He had some pretty big injury red flags at the time of the signing IIRC and that contract was long. But somehow the injuries almost completely stopped. His level of play was never a concern.

Which is my point. Worry about aging contracts WHEN they become a problem. Not when the player is still earning their pay.

Coleman’s two Cup rings are covering his ears.

Defer all you want, Hyman is an offensive grinding guy with some scoring touch. Coleman is a defensive player who gets points because he works really hard, and jams pucks in from time to time.

Hyman is a 20+ scorer if he plays with absolutely top ranked elite centres. Coleman scores 15 or so playing with Backlund or Gourde.

I went to the game.

Markstrom was fine. None of the goals were his fault.

Bad giveaways from the D and Lewis.

First line is amazing. Gaudreau is a god. He's worth the price of admission.
