Extended trip, for the first time in 2 months, will be good for the team. Fatigue sure, but some of it is getting too comfortable in the same routine with so many games at home, and some general complacency sets in and they lose that edge, just enough, in third periods and to start games.

Change of scenery, change of routine, less distractions, more team bonding, will be good. My guess too is that Sutter, if he hasn't already, will let off the gas on the team, and play good cop when everyone is expecting him to tear into the team.

Where the #### did Teroy and Gunit come from?

Completely out of touch. Makes you wonder if they even watch hockey, much less the Flames.

Again, the need for a dislike button couldn't be more apparent.

Oilers aren’t that far behind the Flams especially if you take away loser points.

The contracts are about equal value IMO, but I could see Coleman's aging better. We will see.
I think you need to watch Hyman more. He’s actually plays similar to Coleman with a bit more skill.

That is why there is a 21 goal swing for Coleman when he is on the ice

You need to watch Hyman more...80% of his points are McDrai

Hyman has never been good defensively. He’s still not in Edmonton, except by comparison to his linemates. He’s a completely different player than Coleman.

Yeah... Gaudreau is elite this year.

Like elite-elite. None of the top players are even close to him for 200 foot play (except Tkachuk)

Disagree. They are both great at forechecking.

If we can exempt loser points from our arguments then surely we can exempt shootout wins against backup goalies.

There's a group of posters who disappear when the Flames win, and come sprinting to the PGT when we lose. They were obviously around a lot more in previous years.

Easy to suggest they aren't actually fans of the team (like Flamesfan05 who is clearly a troll fan from another team). But I think a lot of these overtly negative posters are fans, they just seem to enjoy being able to say "I told you so" when we lose than celebrate a win. Seems like a brutal way to enjoy being a fan IMO.

It’s clear that dude is an Oilers fan with the cherry picker comment. No “I told you so’s” from me. I just hate the Coleman contract. Way too much money and term for a serviceable middle 6 player that doesn’t move the needle in the regular season. This contract means that at least one of Mangoapane, Tkachuk, or Gaudreau won’t be a Flame long term.

Take away all wins that aren't wins in the playoffs and compare goal differential...imagine coming in a Flames/Blues PGT thread and pumping the Oilers and their players tires

Actually if you are eliminating any points it should be OT wins and shootout wins as there is no 3v3 or shootout in playoffs. Flames have a large edge in regulation wins

No it doesn't, Flames can sign all those guys...Gaudreau has a choice but the Flames will have the money. Mangi needs to be reasonable though, I don't want to pay him like a consistent 30 goal guy.

Disagree all you want. Hyman is an offensive forechecker - that was his role in Toronto and it still is. He’s never had good defensive numbers.

Coleman is a defensive player who contributes offensively only by workload, and not offensive talent. He has always been given defensive roles on his teams.
