Team USA played the perfect road game. It's not that Canada was bad and more that team USA kind of shut them down and played a complete team game. No shame in losing this one.

but TSN said this was the best team canada ever... All that hype on the preview shows too..
out of all the games to finally watch this tournament... and it wasn't even close - USA was by far the best team on the ice.

Didn't deserve to win that one, and didn't. Felt like they just assumed they were going to score, watching eachother too much, flat footed, etc.
Boooo

Seems like Zary got more ice time as the game, if not seemed like he was noticeable in his time.

The US played a fantastic team game and definitely deserved the win.

I wonder how much money Monahan lost tonight with his bets.

This is always one of the issues of NHL teams not releasing players like Lafreniere.
Still had fun watching, and Team Canada let’s be honest still was a ridiculously good team. They should be proud of their performance still and honestly the States- hats off they played a great game and their goalie truly was amazing tonight. Fun to watch.

Come on now it was a close game...Canada outshot them badly
USA got the lead and a couple breaks
Full marks but lets not get crazy

Yanks probably listened and talked about that before the game as extra motivation.

Well. Pretty disappointing result after what Canada showed throughout the previous games(though not the best competition, which might've had something to do with tonight).

Zegras tournament MVP. Can't really argue with that. Might have been Cozens if he had a big game tonight

Bad result, but you have to give the Americans props, they played a great game.
I agree with AC, happy with what I saw from Pelletier and Zary.
Congrats to our American posters. except Cali Panthers Fan, you and Knight can go suck a &%#@. just kidding.

outshot sure.. were there really any dangerous opportunities? really only a couple chances that could of gone in.. other than that they were just shots... most of those shots were in the last period, when the US just kept them Canada the perimeters..

Have to hang some of that on the coaching I think. Team wasn’t even close to being prepared.

All credit to the American's they played the harder game. Their defensive zone play was excellent and their forecheck was very good.
Canada wasn't bad, but they certainly weren't great in this game. I don't think they took the American's easy, the Yanks were just the better team.
That last minute really stood out with the American's controlling the middle of the ice and Canada not getting to the greasy ares.
They went from the possibility of being one of the greatest teams in Canadian World Junior history . . . to a team

Leaman is clearly an extremely good coach. Wonder when he gets an NHL head coaching job.
