My giant boy Soderblom with the nastiest goal of the tourney so far. I knew he was good but I didn’t think he had those hands.

Haha, my one Canadian gets 5 and a game plus a likely suspension against the canon fodder teams. Hilarious.

Tough break in game one FF. Better than an injury at least. He’ll be fresh for the tough games.

Well, maybe I should have looked at getting a Canadian in the pool.

The IIHF has this goal —

https://twitter.com/user/status/1342992585355370497

— erroneously credited as Tomasino 2 (Barron 2, Mercer 2).

Accurately, it should be credited as Tomasino 2 (Barron 2, Suzuki 1).

I'm anticipating it will be changed but, for now, I have the official scoring reflected in the spreadsheet.

This tournament has been a stat-keeping nightmare. So many missed/wrong secondary assists on the part of the official scorers. It's embarrassing how inaccurate it's been. Not to mention how there have been actual goals that have been credited straight-up wrong for extended periods of time before being corrected.

For the purposes of my spreadsheet, I think it's best to go off the official IIHF scoring... but let it be known that I do so while being extremely dissatisfied with its quality.

I mean, that's just correct. Out of both those goalies' last three seasons, the lowest two save percentages belong to the same goalie: Carey Price.

I refer you to my reply in the no good thread.

Where we take the usual conversations about delusional homerism, they just don’t typically involve the Flames

Yeah it's always a mess. At end of tourney I always go through each team stats to make sure everything's correct. I do like the up to date stats though even though some might be wrong. So I appreciate the work

Yes, Gunler scored Sweden's seventh goal in their first game and that is reflected in the spreadsheet.

I knew I should have gone with my gut and taken Raty with my last pick instead of Puhakka.
