Well the lightning have to win too or who cares...SJ was great for a decade but I'm sure they would trade it for one cup year. Also, they are about to have major cap problems.

Contact has to also be a reason that a goalie can't make a save. It's not just any contact.

I've seen less called back... especially since the puck went in off the guy who knocked the goalie over. This idea that it doesn't matter if you bump the goalie outside the crease is false though...announcers have made it a thing but that isn't the rule.
Anyway, doesn't matter now...until next coin flip to decide a playoff game

This is not an exact, or thorough, representation of the rules.

He didn't 'knock the goalie over'. Their legs touched and then he did a pirouette afterwards to try and get a call.
What you're missing about the crease is that the incident is (and should be) judged differently if outside the crease.

Here's exactly what the rule book says...
Quote:
Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.
|
"A reasonable effort" is not the same as "everything in their power".

It is when someone is judging you by trying to determine what you meant/tried to do by visual means only.

Big game tonight. I think whoever wins tonight, ends up taking the series.

I hate Comeau. Can’t put my finger on why. Maybe because he sucked on the flames and is dirty. Just a plug. If he were in beer league he’d be the guy running guys.

Khudobin is looking solid so far. I think he has gotten stronger as the playoffs have gone on. May also be that the rest of the team has gotten more comfortable with playing to his strengths in net.

I think back to whoever on CP posted the gif of the incredulous look on Khudobin’s face when Calgary scores and I chuckle. Am ok with him. At this point in the playoffs it’s becoming more about players I like or dislike vs teams.

Heiskanen is so good defensively, as well as his offensive prowess.

Vegas must have the lowest shooting percentage in the playoffs. If they had a couple snipers, they would be lethal.
