So funny when Oiler fans try and come in here with posts like that. Most Oiler fans that pump their multiple Stanley Cups were likely not born or very young when that dynasty was in place. Also funny when they say we are obsessed with them and they never talk about us. You simply can't be the worst run franchise in professional sport over the past decade and take cheap shots at your superior rival. Sure the last decade of Flames hockey is a mix of early playoff exits, near playoff misses, and top 10 picks. The Oulers just drafted in the top 10 for the 9th time in 10 years and in 7 of those years they were bottom 3 in the league.

I think there was jealousy when we got a team first and grew organically into the NHL as opposed to adopting a franchise from Atlanta. I can assure you there is no jealousy. I can't imagine anyone cheering for a team that last made the playoffs in 2006 and the resulting suck that got you all those 1st round picks. Or the fact they had to change the draft into a lottery system because of how your team made a mockey of the draft. Frankly i'd be embarrassed to be associated with a team like that.

I do appreciate some of your players and think guys like Gaudreau, Monohan, Giordano, Brodie and Tkachuk are very nice pieces but personally if I were to choose between the two rosters to win a Stanely Cup in the near furture. I would take the likes of McDavid, Eberle, RNH, Lucic, Draisaitl, Puljujarvi, Klefbom, Sekera, Nurse and Talbot in a heart beat.

Still you have no defence and you lost Hall for a player who may or may not live up the expectations that Chia says he will become. Besides you had all those players minus Puljujarvi and Lucic and you still finished near the bottom of the league.

The last 8 years have probably been the worst this franchise has seen, so I get it flames fans get your shots in while you can but really have fun chasing the playoffs every year just like the Iggy days, scraping for a playoff spot while we're starting The Dynasty 2.0.

Dynasty 2.0? That's pretty bold statement to make when in reality you've had all those 1st round picks and the results still remain the same.

I guess we all know what Dreger meant when he said the Oilers are building something special. Rogers arena looks to be a pretty special building.

Well I think that was Dreger who said that but could be wrong.

Here is another thing Dreger said just in case I am mistaken.

He went on to say how it would take a “monstrous deal” for the Oilers to even consider trading away Hall.
