I saw that to and was wondering wtf was going on. But even though he's a dirty oiler, that's pretty darn impressive. Such a shame he plays for the oilers.
As much as all the media attention on him annoys me, I still think he's a good kid and hopefully he bolts when he has the chance. I'm more annoyed that with his picture being plastered comes that nasty-ass oilers jersey being shown at all times.

No question it's impressive but somebody in coaching/management has to control their wad and let a teenager acclimate a bit into the NHL. There's a reason why young players, regardless of how good they are, get sheltered a bit. Keeping him off the penalty kill seems like a no-brainer way to do it.

McDavid probably thought his injury was a godsend. He got to stop playing for the Oilers for a bit and maybe figured the McMedia frenzy might die down a little bit.
But no sir Connor, its only gotten worse. I bet you wouldnt have believed that.
