I think he had 3 or so phantom goals called back, plus about a dozen post hits.

With some luck and fortune he could have been at 20-25 goals like rookie Monahan and 40+ points.

If only they tracked that during the Amonte days. Would've led the league by miles.

I was guilty of having way out of whack expectations. I was so impressed that he missed almost the whole year then after 15 games of junior and make an impact in the playoffs like he did. It is not shocking that consistency was the biggest issue.

Having said that I think he has a huge breakout next year

Still the best car dealership radio jingle on the team.

That #93 looks way nicer than 63 from last year

Voted 31-35. A little bummed to see I was basically right.
I think he'll be around 50 next season. With a little more strength and weight he'll be more successful playing his style of game.

I don't think there is any reason to complain or worry about Bennett's rookie season.

He scored more points and had a better +/- than Monahan did in his first year.

I'm sure we will see him improve in his second season, hopefully as much as Sean did.

I think it does show a lot for Bennett - he was inconsistent and streaky like you'd expect for a young player. But his goals and points really came in bunches. Your analysis shows that as an absolute fact and I'm sure that will improve next year.

Sorry to get off topic but you have to laugh some. Many people would have you take away Ortio's 5 worst games to show how good he really is...

Bennett's point tallies next year are impossible to predict until we know who could be playing on his wing. If he is doesn't get upgrades from this year 45-50 points. If he gets decent upgrades then 60 points wouldn't be a stretch.
