Either outcome helps us in a way unless its OT. Winnipeg has a harder schedule so I think we are better off having them lose tonight to make them easier to catch the rest of the way hopefully

First time I've actively cheered out loud for a Nucks goal. Well that feels dirty. But now that they're ahead, let's keep them ahead.

Me as well. They better win this in regulation.

BTW, is it just me or the Jets don't really know how to defend in their zone? They seem to just expect to dominate possession all game and then they look like headless chickens if the other team gets past the neutral zone.

ya its not usually this bad
they usually randomly switch to the sky cam annoyingly, but the actual camera is pretty static and focused on play

You do realize that a Jets win would be of most benefit to the Flames...

Don't you dare suggest he was in any way feigning the seriousness of the slash. Canuck players are just that tough. Did you see Burrows come back and finish that Kings game with a broken neck. That's Canuck tough.

No I don't realize that, I realize that a Canucks win would be of most benefit to the Flames. Really though as long as this game ends in regulation it helps the Flames.
(Canucks win we improve our playoff chances 2.2%, Jets win we are 1.5% less likely to make it, according to sportsclubstats)

Why? Canucks have an easy schedule the rest of the way. They should cruise to a playoff spot. A Jets loss means the Flames can catch them tomorrow and have multiple ways of getting into the playoffs. Either outcome you can make a case that its better but I prefer the Jets losing.

Not really. As far as playoffs go:
Kings and Flames tie --> Flames hopefully win ROW (2 games ahead) and they've won the season series Best cast scenario
Jets lose --> Flames can catch up and tie them, winning ROW (i think 5 games ahead) and the season series
Canucks lose --> Flames must catch up and exceed their point totals because Canucks have a lead in ROW.

Last time I checked, just because a player wasn't injured, it doesn't mean something isn't a penalty. Still a freakin slash.
