Byron KILLED Henrik Sedin for Fata's sake!

He most definitely deserved to qualify

edit: *Daniel* But Henrik probably got a telepathic twin hit or somthing.

I don't understand the passive/aggressive tone from you guys, when in fact he is stated as saying the following:

"I can't say that I am entirely surprised. Things didn't work out the way both sides had wanted them to this year, so it was time to move on," Galiardi said via text.

"To be honest, even if it had been my choice to return to Calgary, I wouldn't have gone back. Sometimes you have the best intentions and the highest hopes, but things just aren't meant to be. I'll always be grateful that I was able to achieve my lifelong goal of playing as a Flame and I wish them the best of luck in the future."

Why are you guys dumping on him? I wish him the best of luck. I'm sure he'll land a spot on an NHL team.

Sorry TJ, good luck! At least you have modeling to fall back on.

Sounds like SOB would be a good fit on his team.

I thought it was obvious from the way he talked in his exit interview that Galiardi was already looking at it as the end of his time with the Flames (he was probably told not to expect a QO by Burke back then).

So much for "Operation get all the TJs". Now we'll never convince Oshie to come here.

Liking Treliving a little less at the moment.

Always was rooting for Byron since he got here.

Somehow I don't think watching Bolig do his thing will be nearly as entertaining as watching Byron.

Good luck to Paul - Hoping he lands in a good spot!

Side note, pretty disappointed re: Byron. The guy did literally everything that was asked and then some. IMO he was a great example to the younger guys of what was required to play in the show. Doubt he is out of work for long.

Yeah... disappointed that Byron didn't receive an offer too. I was hoping he would at least get another year before being traded. That being said, I'm starting to see Treliving's vision of Calgary's team and while I still think that maybe Byron could be relevant for another year, I will have to accept his professional judgment moving forward.

I will also note, that I'm very interested to see the on ice product for the coming year. Best of luck to Byron. I wish you continued happy Sedin smashing.

I'm pretty sure the face is because Galiardi is an RFA. If the Flames qualified him and he said he wasn't coming back then everyone here would be blasting him with all the hate of the interwebs.

As much as I liked Byron I will be shocked if he gets a one way contract from another team.

So Galiardi requests a trade from the Sharks, then on his way out says he didn't want to come back here anyways. Way to burn bridges while leaving.

I took it as him saying that he felt he wasn't a good fit in Calgary and moving on would be best.
