yeah but what if you want it to go further, she's going to wonder where you're from, how long are you in town for? Unless you're just talking to her for the train ride only.
How long can you continue this front?

If it's just a matter of him phrasing it poorly that's one thing. If he genuinely believes that this is a trait that's primarily exclusive to women, then it's something completely different.
On another note, to actually add to the discussion in this thread, I think it's a lot easier to strike up a conversation with women if you stop viewing them solely as things you can put your dink in. When the goal of the conversation is actually to converse with another human being, it tends to go over a lot better.

I took that course and it changed my life as far as the business world is concerned. Even though it apparently makes me a loser that should just die I've managed to beat the odds as I'm still alive and have been relatively successful.

I told my wife about this thread and she told me the first conversation I had with her was something lame about drinking beers and playing hockey.
So you never know what will work!

Yeahs perhaps, but there are always exceptions to prove the rules.

This I can't speak to, but if his history on here is to be used, he is keen to throw up facts as opinions, just read the vaccination thread.

I don't necessarily agree that it's true, but either way then say "people like talking about themselves" as opposed to singling it out as a gender-specific trait.

Black people love to wear dresses.
Black people pee sitting down.
Black people use a different public bathroom than men.
Not even a little, huh? Nuthin'? Not-a-thing, eh?

My first time meeting my wife I gave her $0.25 and told her to go buy new jeans (that was back in the day when it was cool to have rips in jeans).
Surprisingly, she said that is what peaked her interest.

Well unless you're talking about a gender-inclusive bathroom then it would be natural to assume that some black people would use different bathrooms than men. If you change those sentences to "black men" they start to border on offensive, depending on whether you're attempting to emasculate them for wearing dresses and peeing sitting down.
