On CHED: I looked at the schedule and 14 games in October and I thought 12 points would be reasonable. They got 8 <clear implication that that was close> and the difference between 12 and 8 was injuries.

The chances of making the playoffs are a million to one, there's a better chance of successfully navigating an asteroid field then the Oilers making the playoffs.
Does Han Solo have NHL experience? Doesn't matter... sign him for 7 years $42 million.
Those team rankings average out at 14.6 by the way, so average. And the Oilers have 8 of a possible 28 pts.
I was referencing a quote from oilers fan on CHED who thought they had a tough sched, but as you say it is totally average. 5 top 10 teams, 5 bottom 10 teams.
For 96 points, they should have 16.5 points right now. They are less than halfway there.
They are on pace for 47 points. The Flyers managed 56 points in 60-07 (lowest since shootouts).
No team has even had less than 50 since 2000 when the Bettman point came into play. If anyone can do it...

Haha why in the world do the Edmonton radio guys continue to bring up the fact that MacT got an mba?
It's because they're from Edmonton, and actually think an MBA means something. This FedEx commercial represents what I think of 98% of people I've met who have an MBA.

Lowe and MacTavish should have their 5 and 4 stanley cup rings welded together into brass knuckles, and punch themselves repeatedly in the face until they "get it".
At least that's how I'd feel were I an Oilers fan.
