I actually dont mind Rob Brown as an analyst. I think he is pretty good. Id like him on Sportsnet.
In any event, this will be fun. Or those with Telus TV 630 CHED is one of the radio stations you can get in the 7000 range. Im giddy to listen to this one.

A bit like the Avs, except it looks now like they were waiting for Roy.

It's because when you try to lose on purpose, you let your players get away without doing the little things to win - like backchecking.
You can't just flip that on a dime the next year and expect them to do that...after you sign them to long-term extensions.

Well they kept Sacco for a while so I suppose that's the same thing.

You're right that the Oilers should use it as leverage in negotiations and also that his value is high.
Ultimately their team is better off if they move a Yakupov for players they actually need now though, and when the it comes down to it they need to realize that they won't get mind blowing value for him and take solid value. With all their one dimensional offensive forwards they are like a guy with stockpile of cash with a leaking roof watching their house fill up with water, refusing to pay what they see as inflated prices. At some point they need to bite the bullet and bring in some defensive help, some goaltending and some impact 2 way forwards and it will cost them some of their good young players.
Anyway it's kind of irrelevant to the discussion but I personally think Yakupov in particular is a very one dimensional player whose value is going to decline over the next couple of seasons pretty dramatically playing in Edmonton and that they'd be wise to move him. Him and the Oilers would be better off if he gets moved.
He is -10 with a single goal this year and last year he was just OK. He had 11 goals in 45 games until he had his goal explosion in the last two or three meaningless games of the season when no one cared.

I like how the caller on Ched says they got out goaltended again. I agree. With better goaltending the Oilers could have lost 2-0 instead of 4-0.

Oilers post game on team 1260 is ruthless. Strudwick is awesome.
"i just feel like i am always beating up on this team"
Wow. This is fantastic
"where do you even start"
Now jason strudwick goes to commercial so he can try to find something positive to say about this team.

Yes. Matt Duchene basically admitted as much.
Said they knew their system wouldn't work and they would lose before the game even started sometimes.
The fact they didn't fire Sacco much earlier is clear proof they were planning on landing a big fish in the draft.

Was probably thinking about the color of TNA pants he's going to buy.

Yeah, Gagner's line was -4 and Kessel's was +4, so it all evened out.
