on one hand, I was worried quicksilver was going to be spiky hair and look really foolish

on the other hand, quicksilver looks like that...

also the Sentinels are a meh too

I am hoping they look better in footage than in pictures

my guess is any of the gear on him has something to do with regulating/helping his body when moving at high speeds. But I agree he looks kind of ridiculous. It's mostly the hair, I don't really have a problem with the rest of his costume.

This movie is trying to do way too much.

Just a film about the Stewart/McKellen X and Magneto trying to save the McAvoy/Fassbender ones would've been a great concept. Seems like they've tried too hard - more X-Men, more villains, biggest cast ever! - it's almost guaranteed to be a dud.

But who says all the characters get substantial screen time? We're looking at two groups of mutants in two different time periods, there's going to be quite a few secondary characters. Not every character is going to have a backstory/love interest/ heroic moment/ whatever. My guess is most of them are just "there", and they're pimping guys like Quicksilver because he's a popular character. Think about First Class and what we really found out about Havok, Beast, Banshee, all the other villains. All they really need to do is show them and explain what they do.
