I'd be shocked if they didn't continue on with another solo First Class movie after Days of Futures Past.
It will be interesting to see what they do for sure. I'd say this is the last time Stewart and McKellan play significant roles in the series. Who knows for certain, but especially in McKellan's case you'd think he retires eventually. At 74 years in age, this has to be the last time he'll suit up. Stewart could return considering the role, but even he is 73. You'd have to figure they will be passing torches to Fassbender and McAvoy in this movie.
You would hope Jackman, Fassbender, and McAvoy will continue reprising their roles, the rest are not all that important imo. Another question is will they attempt to have two series running concurrently at once, and release a movie every year (or two years)?
Of course another issue is how can they expect to afford to keep the entire cast? Lawrence is probably expendable, but she could be a huge draw at the box office (for kids). But Fassbender will probably command a pretty high salary with his popularity skyrocketing. McAvoy probably isn't cheap either. Then of course Jackman reportedly is signed on for four more movies and getting paid $100 million total. So at least he's aboard, but he's definitely getting paid top dollar.
Hopefully Days of Future Past takes in a billion dollars at the box office, then the budget for future movies won't be a major issue.

That video and site is so great. It's a little unseemly tapping into the anniversary to promote the movie, but given that the movie is based on that same time period it's less unseemly than it is brilliant.
Tempted to just go into suspended animation until May 23, 2014. This wait is torture.

I'm still very excited about this movie, but I just found out about the 'Ex-Men' sketches from the Pete Holmes show. Start with Wolverine, and go from there.

“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” Singer told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”
In X-Men: Days of Future Past, fans will experience two different flavors of Charles Xavier: a younger version played by First Class actor James McAvoy, as well as original Xavier actor Patrick Stewart. The two performers will cross over for at least one scene in the movie, as the trailer previously indicated. According to Stewart, that shared screen time was particularly powerful for both actors.

In contrast, Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender’s two versions of Magneto won’t share the screen in Days of Future Past.

If you are excited for DOFP, you should check out the full comiccon panel, which can be found on youtube. Some great insights from the actors and you can tell they all really love being a part of the movies. McKellen and Stewart went so far as to claim they would continue to return as long as they were being asked to do so.
