Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
The Seattle group's plans, with support of the NBA, is to play two seasons in Key Arena before moving into a new Seattle arena, sources say.

The deal will sell the Kings for approximately $500 million, with the Seattle group seeking relocation to Key Arena for the 2013-'14 season.

The cycle will be complete in about 15 years when after OKC loses Durant and Westbrook to retirement, no one in OKC cares about a mediocre basketball team, and the Thunder relocate to Sacramento.
Also, David Stern ####ing sucks. Sorry Sacremento fans.

Never really liked the name, thought the logo and colours were lame. Maybe they can re-jig the brand but I never associated the Sonics with cool.

Hahah you called it. Durant is a fricken beast. 40 points in 3 quarters. Hopefully he's going to be the MVP this year.

They will be the Sonics. That was part of the deal when the old team departed for OKC.
It's interesting that this franchise has been relocated so many times but never strayed from the "royalty" theme. This will likely break that string.

Why can't the NBA sell out its arenas? Interesting article.

Two big milestones tonight. Lebron just passed 20,000 points and 5,000 assist. Youngest player to hit 20,000 points. Congrats to him.

Lifetime Suspension

There's been some players on fire later.. it's good to see the injured players coming back and performing well (Nowitzki, Wall, Nash, etc.) Rubio not so much.

They should call them the King County Kings.

Haven't watched much NBA this year but I watched the game tonight between the Heat and Lakers. LeBron is a machine. Easily the best player in the game. Great performance by him.

Lebron is a monster. He is simply unstoppable. I don't think anyone in the league can guard him right now.

The Lakers season is going to be the biggest disaster ever, and last night was exactly why.
Kobe Bryant Shot Attempts: 25 (1 assist)
Nash, Gasol, Howard Attempts combined: 22 (13 assists)
That's tells you everything you need to know. I said it earlier in the year, and its true: The only way the Lakers will win this season is if Kobe becomes a bench player. Let him come in at the start of the second quarter after you've worked your actual offense with Howard, Gasol and Nash, and let Kobe come in and play selfish hero ball with the second unit. LeBron gets 39 like he's not even trying, and still gets everyone else involved. Kobe without doubt will go down as basketball's all-time most selfish player.

I do have to agree with him quite possibly being the most selfish player ever. Even he admitted that he could be and that he's made enemies because of it. But did you watch the beginning of the game? Kobe was trying to get Howard involved early and didn't take many shots himself. He was having an off game and he choose the wrong time to. The one thing i don't understand is why Nash doesn't shoot more. The guy is one of, if not the best pure shooters of all time and he chooses to pass on 95% of the possessions. It's not Kobe's fault that Nash doesn't want to take more shots. He even said after the game they should have gone to Kobe more during the beginning to get him going.

You know what I find interesting about the NBA's move from Sacramento to Seattle?
Clay Bennett is the head of the NBA's relocation committee. Bennett also put together a lengthy terms-of-settlement agreement together with the city when he took the Sonics to OKC. Among the items on that list include Bennett owing the city of Seattle $30 million if the city approves a new arena and the city does not get an NBA team by the 2013-14 season.
Seems like a conflict of interest to me.

I'm glad the Kings move to Seattle. Makes it easy for me to go and catch a game or two in Seattle. Kobe, Lebron and Durant are the three players I want to watch live before they retire.
