Also lots of people have sent text messages since then about the Oilers winning the Stanley Cup. It's just a dumb meme.

Not clearly worded maybe. But everyone knows the point it's making.

Agreed. It's all those losers ever talk about. It would surprise me to learn that "Oilers win the Stanley Cup" is the top trending topic in Edmonton, like, always.

If there were any chance it went through his glove, you can bet he would've gone right to the bench and replaced it. such a weird take by the announcers to try and justify a bad goal. Suddenly Miller has the hardest shot in the NHL and Campbell has a hole in his glove.

“Quite frankly I’ve been pathetic”-Campbell.

This goaltending signing aged like milk.

That defense is laughably bad, and Campbell is continuing his poor play from last season.

"But Captain" cried a few Oil fans "We just need to upgrade out defense to go with our world class offense and get Patrick Kane as well and we're winning the cup"

"Oh really" I respond "I'm all ears on how you're going to do this when you're in a cap crisis, and nobody wants your crappy bottom 6 players to gift you a top pairing blueliner and Kane and fit in under the cap".

Frankly, unless the Oilers are willing to trade a top player, none of this s$$$ is happening, so unless they're going to move Draisaitl, of Hopkins, or maybe Evander Kane (Though teams might not take a chance on them". Or move multiple top prospects and first round draft picks, that window is going to slam down hard this year.

I knew it must have been a good game for Campbell when I went on Twitter and saw Mike Smith trending.

Campbell is not the type to shake off a bad game. This is just the beginning for his struggles. Too bad as he seems like a nice fella... Just off the sensitive type. Good for him in getting that contract though. No clue what Edmonton was thinking.

Nobody can save the Oilers.

Not even Jack Campbell can save the Oilers.

Nobody can save them.

Nobody.

Two embarrassing losses in a row now for the Oil. Cup parade cancelled again?

Yeah, absolutely. There is no way in a million years if he genuinely thought that, that he would stay out on the ice with a potentially defective piece of equipment.

Its just not a thing that would happen. Even the Oilers' staff arent that daft.

Did anyone watch the Campbell interview? His voice was quivering. I thought he was going to break down and start crying.

I just love it. Frankly, they are playing with House Money at the moment, because the fact that this hasnt blown up in their faces yet is a criminal injustice.

When the Hockey Gods feel that its time for their bill to come due, and that time will come...its gonna be a doozy...
