I think a couple of them were legit, there was a rocket scientist wasn’t there?

I've been enjoying a burger renaissance in my life lately. Tried Smash Burger for the first time last week. It was decent, but honestly not that great. Way better than McD's, though.

I keep coming back to Five Guys. That's my favourite (aside from Fuddrucker's in Saskatoon).

But yeah, if you could get a Big Mac combo for $7.50 or something then McDonalds would still fill a great niche. Since their pricing is as much or more than Five Guys, though, it makes no sense to go there (unless you're on a road trip and there are no other options).

I get the little burger (540 calories) from Five Guys, which is $7.99.

A Big Mac (570 calories) is $7.79.

Essentially the same price for the same calories, except Five Guys is amazing and McDonalds totally sucks.

Big Mac combo is $11.19, that’s burger, fries, drink.

Five Guys doesn’t offer combos, so a (little) burger, (little) fries, drink is $16.07.

1040 calories vs 1200.

So, why do people go to McDonalds? Because it’s 1/3 cheaper for virtually the same amount of food.

I'm the rare person who never gets fries and a pop. Bigass container of mcdonalds ice for $3. Nah. Fries are just for the ride home snacking. Then you eat the burger and feel like crap over the fools feast you just ingested and throw out the rest of the fries after because you are disgusted with yourself.

Problem is McDs is 5 blocks from my house. Bloody deerfoot trail to get to five guys.

Arby's Labia sammys though, I'll take a drive to canyon meadows for those abominations.
