For sure. Never mind the fact that people that drive around with dogs in the box of their trucks are terrible too.

Nah, dogs love that ####. May even stand a better chance in an accident than sitting inside and flying into the windshield.

The dogs were definitely happier outside with all the smells but they were strapped in with harnesses that would cause serious injury. It’s now illegal to keep a dog back there for good reason.

Work for an EPC. Have done variations of the same certification for 24yrs now, but year 25 may be the year I decide to turn into an unethical D-bag… but I’m still not going to answer the questions that way

Idiot road ragers generally make me laugh quite a bit. But when they lose their #### and start screaming obscenities because they don’t know how to drive and one of my kids is in the car with me, they really grinds my gears.

Lol, I guess every industry has to these now. They're so ridiculous, and pretty clearly just a CYA for the company or organization. If anything happens, I guess they can point to this and say "well, you said here that you weren't murdering people..." or whatever. Such a waste of time.

If the dogs were harnessed in the truck and not on the metal bed directly it is not illegal in Calgary.

If anyone here works in parts, manufacturing, etc... related to pressure piping and vessels and has been subject to ABSA audits one of the very first and primary points is about traceability of parts followed by ensuring non-similar parts are clearly and distinctly stored and labelled separately. This critical component to a helicoptors ability to stay airborne ranks pretty high I'd say and logically should be subject to rather extreme quality control measures and accountabilities. Too late now but I sure hope this results in many case studies for learning technologists, engineers, parts controls, etc...

Have you ever been walking towards someone and you both have to move over to get by, and the person moves to their left?
That bugs me.

Related gear grinder. Be it the mall or especially busy sidewalks or paths, when people walk on the left side. Is this the norm in other parts of the world or are people just that daft?

That thought actually crossed my mind but I generally like the guys I work with and one of us had to get the short straw. It just sucks because the documentation requests and emails will go on for years after the goods ship and getting a shipping release will be like pulling teeth as their specs are so ridiculous they will do stuff like hold multimillion dollar shipments because the fonts or text colors on a couple of minor labels are not in accordance with one of their millions of obscure specifications. It's just ridiculous.

Make them request a new PM by simply adding the following to your email signature:

Bonus points if you add a feminist/gender equality symbol too.

18 layers of approval just to be told you can’t deviate from a specification that’s is not optimal and that no one knows why it was written that way?
Enjoy

Pretty much. I despise attaching my name to things done the wrong way because people writing the specs don't know what they are doing or blanket specifications for process piping being applied to low pressure instrumentation that nobody can supply. The worst part is they run their plants so bad that half the equipment ends up getting turned off or bypassed because it won't work just like we told them it wouldn't but hey at least it met the spec.

The punishment for scamming/hacking/fraud against people should be death. Flayed alive with their remains catapulted into which ever ocean is closest. The money they stole should then be charged to their families to repay
