I am still laughing at the world's most poorly designed basketball court.

I mean, there is so much I don't like about that house.
It's like she went into every 1800 sqft spec built infill in Calgary and said "Yeah, but like 8 of these".

Sure they are nice places, but that aesthetic doesn't hold very well when it's applied to cavernous spaces (Why such a tiny dining room table???).

You want a consistent aesthetic through your house? Sure cool, we all do, that doesn't mean you have to use the same colours and finishes in literally the entire house.

Could be worse though:
For proof I present to you what I have affectionately dubbed "The Tron House"

https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/2...elandriverside

I mean, this place is worse, but at least they tried to get creative.

Edit: I should say, it's maybe a little rough of us to be dunking so hard on a 23 year old, and there is definitely a bit of extra heat because she is McAvid's girlfriend.
But if you're gonna trot out your work like this for all the world to see you're gonna have to be ready for some criticism.

If someone just leaked a bunch of pics, that's one thing, I'd likely be saying "Give her a break, people like what they like", but the fact that they are trotting this out like this, and she's doing so in at least some professional capacity...sorry, fair game.
She can like what she likes, but she's not a designer I would hire right now.

Perfect venue for a game of laser tag.
Change the LED's to blue, red, or purple or have them strobing and tracing.

I too would like to live in the Void from TRON.

I've always liked this one in terms of a doll-house carpeted train wreck (i think they leave the listing just for everyone's amusement):

Looks like a furniture warehouse rather than a home. Why so many couch settings? You can see the carpet seams.

No need, the Oilers golfing season is long enough already.

I heard that the only input that McDavid had in the design was that there be no locks on the doors or windows and there be no security system of any kind. Because McDavid refuses to defend anything.

Came mention the colored lights, but laser tag. Damn...

I actually kind of like the Tron house.

I can’t imagine reselling a house like that would be easy.

To me that house is a McMausoleum. Maybe it's the new set for another Phantasm sequel.

I like the spaces and color palette for the most part; it's got a nice stark, minimal aesthetic. Then you notice the sad molding on the walls, like "this is what mansions are supposed to have".
If she wanted an interesting surface effect, there's so much out there that is more interesting.

Maybe I'm blind but looking at the pics I have yet to see one thing with an Oiler logo on it, even all the way in Jersey Johnny has Flames chairs and a Flames picture on the wall.

I hate the Oilers as much as the next guy but if they gave me $100m I'd at least put a hat on a shelf.

Could put Kevin Lowe in on the right, and wouldn't notice a difference!
