The election falls on my 40th birthday. Is that interesting? I suppose not really, but I’ll be sure to take the time to get out and vote.
Has anyone else had the experience of their family and friends seemingly looking for a good reason to vote for anyone but PP? Just one anecdote, but my parents, who I’m reasonably sure have voted more or less straight conservative at all levels for the last 45 years, have been talking about Poilievre for months with barely-contained disdain. I’m pretty sure Carney has given them enough reason to not vote conservative, which I think is a minor miracle.
Any similar stories?

It looks like Nixon has run in 4 elections in his life and only won 1. That's quite a feat for someone running as a Conservative in Calgary (granted 2 were for the Wild Rose, but that also tells you something about him).

Lol these losers just make politics their careers don't they? Jeremy has done nothing outside politics of any note, the biggest thing he did was travel to Hawaii while the rest of us were asked to stay at home and social distance during Christmas 2021. Like eff this scumbag and the Conversatives who recycle these scumbags.

Wow. PP want mandatory mins because of one single guy named Levi in Penticton. When Levi gets out of jail, crime rate percentages spike! So no more, it's time for mandatory minimum sentences for repeat offenders.

And after the people of Calgary-Klein fired his dumb ass, the UCP still saw fit to give him a job. And now he's trying to come back? Dude, we fired you. #### off.

I'd be interested to see how the PCs plan to get the money to bring mental health and addiction improvements. I don't know if they're aware of the cost of getting that back up to some sort of passable standard. One the if I recall properly, the PCs for rid of in the first place.

I'd like to know where the PCs stand on the fighter jet file. We just gonna keep the f-35s and just hope the Americans let us use them if things go south between the two countries?

All in all there's way toouch american protectionist style comments from PP to earn my vote. Unless Carney gets discovered to be some sort of plant for an interfering country, he's got my vote.

Our riding did elect an NDP member provincially, which is an indication it's not a done deal as the riding boundaries are similar, though federally stretch further west than east. Gonna need the NDP vote to vanish though, and a good Liberal candidate, who hasn't been announced yet. Unfortunately Nixon has good name recognition. Fortunately the Nixon name isn't known for integrity.

When Druh Farell called me during the Nenshi bid for the leadership campaign, I tried to convince her to run again federally. She said she was done running in politics.

Every time I see one of his real estate signs, my brain reads it as "Thomas Crapper" (like the guy who may have invented -- but probably didn't -- the flush toilet).

My parents also have voted conservative forever, but they can’t stand PP. They’re both voting for Carney.
