Is it just one of the many photos of Trump with Epstein Photoshopped to put Carney's face over Trump's?
No, they appear to just be AI creations.
Quote:
AFP could not find visual matches posted earlier than January 2025 for the two images which appear to depict Carney and Maxwell close together. Furthermore, there are versions of both pictures with the watermark for Grok -- X's AI model -- implying the images are generated. AFP debunked visual hoaxes which were similarly watermarked as generations by GrokAI.
Today, the Cons rolled out a new slogan, "Boots not Suits".
I fully endorse this plan to get rid of all the empty suits in government, although, they're cutting it close to replace all of their candidates and party leader in time for the election.

This is not gonna be good for Azure's boot licking obsession.

Maybe he won't go with the caps despite what his Minister said the other day. I'm starting to get the feeling that he is telling his team and Cabinet one thing while telling the public something else.
When asked by a reporter on this yesterday he mentioned Pathways in the same breath as pipelines and other projects. If you take that at it's word and understand that the foundational project of Pathways is Carbon Capture & Storage of carbon from the oilsands then an 'emissions cap' doesn't necessarily need to be a 'production cap.' This could also help alleviate moderate voters in BC, Central/ Eastern provinces from climate change fears that could go a long with new pipeline capacity to tidewater through Quebec & BC. Also hints at Federal incentives for that project that will go a long way for employment in Alberta.
In my mind the key for a Carney candidacy for my vote will be stuff like the above. Alberta needs to be part of this nation building effort to wean us off dependance with the US and with that there needs to be a viable path for Alberta to thrive in a Canadian confederation that's shifting away from Alberta's #1 customer. Treating Alberta like Trudeau with dogmatic 'just transition' crap and skepticism of any CCS because it might lead to the 'evil' of increased oil and gas production has the potential to push the 51st state sentiment in Alberta (Yes right now people are patriotic, but fast forward to what the world looks like in 2-3 years with Trump tariffs stealing the margin from Alberta oil and with a federal government actively trying to dismantle the industry and many Albertan's might be singing a different hymn).

The more I hear Pollievre speak as we inch towards Sundays election call the more I am more convinced he doesn't actually want to be PM. It's a no win scenario for him and his party going head to head with trump. It's too hot a potatoe for him.

This is from 3 years ago and still rings true. CPC wouldn’t know what to do if they won the election.

I think it’s as simple as knowing that a progressively increasing carbon tax is functionally the same as a cap on emissions because CSS becomes economic at a certain Carbon price. It’s semantics to make people feel better but I’d still argue the correct path because eventually the world gets its head out of its ass and we will be well positioned to compete to supply the last barrels.
And provided the government (ie the public) chooses to reduce its revenue from Carbon Captured barrels it can be accommodated.
One talked about doing it, may or may not have (politicians never lie right?).
One did it.
Can't make this stuff up indeed.
You must have missed the part where there was legislation introduced to repeal GST on new homes and the Liberals voted against it.
Lets all act like that never actually happened and continue with the literal false information about what PP has said or done, or for that matter hasn't said and hasn't done. Facts literally don't matter anymore in Liberal land.

My point exactly. It was a good idea when PP said it last year, would he have implemented it? Maybe yes, maybe no, we'll never know. The current PM obviously thought it was a good enough idea to implement and did so.
A good idea is a good idea. Most people likely care far less about "who thought it up first", I know I do.
Look at what happens when sides spend less time attacking one another and just take a good idea and run with it! Who knew...
Again, you must be living in an alternate reality where there was not actually a bill introduced to do exactly this and the Liberals voted against it.
You know what's amazing about our parliamentary system? Any Member of said Parliament can introduce a bill. PP has had the ability to do this - or ANYTHING AT ALL HELPFUL FOR CANADIANS - for 20 years now.
Okay, simple facts here.
Did or did not the Conservatives, lead by PP on Dec 10, 2024 introduce Bill C-356 which would have eliminated GST on new home sales up to $1 million value, and did the Liberals vote for or against it?
Ford did tweet this yesterday which is a little confusing after the report that he would not help out the federal Conservatives
Not that it will stop Johnny from posting more false information, but maybe we should ask Ford about this?
"Didn't ask me for help and I don't know where they even came up with that story."
But hey, lets not let a little misinformation get in the way of the greater good!
I get the felling he's telling his team there is no set in stone barriers and he'll adapt to things as needed, given the situation we are in.
He seemingly is not getting stuck in ideology and actually looking at what makes sense; even if it's similar to what conservatives say.
How god damn refreshing.
Yes, its refreshing that we are getting two completely different takes on major legislation.
I guess its not the first time the Liberals have used double speak to win elections!
I mean in all seriousness he's a big improvement on Trudeau, like a major step forward.
Now if only he would kick the clowns out of his cabinet and repeal the restrictions on oil & gas production. The rest I am not worried about because Carney is smart enough to deal with it. But he doesn't seem to be willing to deal with the environmental whackjobs in his party.

Ah, PP tweeted it, must be where Azure learned it.
Not told is that the GST aspect was a small portion of a much larger bill with many different changes. The exact kind of thing oppositions do knowing it will get defeated so they can turn around and play politics with it, not to actually pass it.
I believe it’s what some people call “fooling” the “bootlickers.”
Hell, in the speech for the bill PP was going on and on about Trudeau and aliens lol. This is the serious man who was seriously trying to get this bill passed, ladies and gentlemen.
