Jimmy Murphy sometimes flings a lot of stuff to see if it sticks, but he is based in the Boston area.

If the above is all correct, that leaves Dallas, SJ and a mystery last minute addition. (I bet its a team we've rarely even discussed)
I think he goes to SJ but am still hoping it's Detroit though.

It's a little early to make that call.
More importantly, fans get WAY too hung up on trying to define players as 1st, 2nd or 3rd liners. Building a team is about putting pieces together that work - if it turns out that we acquire McKenna in the draft, an eventual line of McKenna - Reschny - Gridin (or whomever) has the legitimate potential to be a top line. Conversely, if you slot Reschny between Honzek and Coronato, you have a solid middle 6 line.
Let's gear down with the idea of trying to pre-determine what players are and aren't. A far more useful exercise is to discuss their tools and their potential. And both Reschny and Danielson have an abundance of both.

After that Tucker signing the MLB is a joke. For sure headed towards a salary cap now and the dodgers are so far ahead it’s not even funny. Watch them trade for Skubal as well because their farm system is pretty good from all reports.
Add in they signed the best closer this year as well and I’m probably not watching baseball next year

I don’t know, man. A random guy in a hot tub tells me he’s 99% sure how players are going to develop. We should probably listen.

And it gets worse .. Bichette is off to NY Mets ... Massive overpay on Tucker and also a gross overpay on Bichette by NY Mets ...
i guess in Baseball has shifted and it is the quick payout and rinse and repeat in 2 or 3 years instead of longevity with a team. Sure does make it hard a fan to connect with players that come and go with the laundry.

Power has definitely shifted towards the player. the NHL is more and more like the NBA with respect to that. Not good for league parity that is for sure.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I would NOT rule out the Canes. Slavin is back, but they've dealt with injuries on the backend too with defenseman out every now and then (Ghost and Chatfield). Maybe there's something there. I still firmly believe Nikishin could be available, given Miller and Slavin already lock down the left side.
