Georgia Election Officials Barred From Delaying 2024 Results
Quote:
Judge Robert McBurney rebuffed a case brought by Julie Adams, a Republican member of the Fulton County Board of Elections who sought a court order declaring that she has discretion to decide what to do after the polls close. Adams had abstained from certifying a primary contest earlier this year.
Adams’ case is one of multiple lawsuits in the battleground state challenging how the November match-up between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will play out. Adams’ lawsuit is widely seen as an early test of the potential for state and local officials who support Trump to use their authority to undermine the vote counting process if it appears he’s lost again.
|
Quote:
“If election superintendents were, as Plaintiff urges, free to play investigator, prosecutor, jury, and judge and so — because of a unilateral determination of error or fraud — refuse to certify election results, Georgia voters would be silenced,” McBurney wrote. “Our Constitution and our Election Code do not allow for that to happen.”

Trump Plots to Declare 2024 ‘Rigged’ — Using GOP Efforts to Slow the Vote Count
Quote:
With just weeks left in the 2024 presidential contest, Donald Trump already has plans in place to aggressively challenge the election results if he fails to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris. According to four conservative attorneys and other sources who’ve spoken to the former president on this matter, Trump intends to declare — as soon as on election night — that the race is being “rigged” or “stolen” from him, by pointing to slow vote counts of mail-in ballots in crucial battleground states as his evidence for supposed Democratic shenanigans afoot.
“He has mentioned many times that this is what we have to watch out for on Election Day, because that’s where [the steal is] going to happen,” one of the Trump-aligned lawyers tells Rolling Stone. Trump, in these private conversations with close allies and advisers in recent months, has stressed that “you gotta call them out very early in the process, like that night, otherwise they can get away with it and cover their tracks,” this source adds.
|
Quote:
During the 2020 contest, laws in several states prohibited election officials from processing or counting mail-in ballots until Election Day. With Republicans more likely to vote in person, election night 2020 kicked off with what became known as the “red mirage” — a false vision of a Trump victory based on in-person returns. Then came the mail-in ballots, overwhelmingly filled out by Democratic voters seeking to avoid exposing themselves at polling locations to a pandemic many Republicans simply didn’t believe was real.

He's been the favorite almost the entire campaign, including nearly a 100% favorite before Biden dropped out. Not sure why it's just now hitting you he's gonna win. Might even get into landslide territory.

I despise Trump (and the GOP), but this is pretty funny:
Trump Breaks Down Onstage
At a campaign event last night, Trump got bored—and weirdness ensued.
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/ar...ent=edit-promo
Quote:
The election is in three weeks, and Pennsylvania is a must-win state for both Trump and Kamala Harris, but during a rally last night in Montgomery County, northwest of Philadelphia, Trump got bored with the event, billed as a “town hall,” and just played music for almost 40 minutes, scowling, smirking, and swaying onstage. Trump is no stranger to surreal moments, yet this was one of the oddest of his political career.
“You’re the one who fights for them,” gushed Kristi Noem, the South Dakota governor and animal-abuse enthusiast, who was supposed to be moderating the event. But it soon became evident that Trump wasn’t in a fighting mode. The event began normally enough, at least by Trump standards, but, after two interruptions for apparent medical emergencies in the audience, Trump lost interest. “Let’s just listen to music. Who the hell wants to hear questions?” he said.
|
From Reddit:
Quote:
There's no other interpretation. Watch the video.
It's a Town Hall event. They're asking him questions and out of nowhere he says let's listen to music. Then it's 39 minutes of him standing there listening to music in front of a confused crowd.
His team is trying to reach him via the teleprompter to tell him he's supposed to be interacting with this crowd but he's just chillin while a few hundred people watch him.

I loved how Norm MacDonald would start a bit and then go off on multiple tangents but brilliantly tie them all back to the original bit. That's what Trump thinks he's doing but he's just rambling like a demented idiot with no coherent points to be found.

Imagine giving an incoherent answer like that to your boss and telling him it’s the weave. They will probably heave you out of the office.

If they were young, I would assume drug use and see if they were more coherent the next day.
If old, I would call their emergency contact and ask them to seek medical attention together.
In neither case would they be permitted to continue working.

Cruz getting his embarrassed.
Wonder if he kisses Colin’s ass afterwards like he did Trumps after he made fun of his wife.
