First team he brought up was Boston the second team is Vegas and to a lesser extent the Stars (have Seguins money and their blue line has struggled).

Definitely the largest part of the delay has been trying to source an extension without trying to "Hanifin" the deal.
Craig's done a phenomenal job, and Rasmus cant be thanked enough for not handcuffing Calgary.

They feel like only two teams of that big bunch that could bidding war. Dallas and Vegas and Toronto all don’t have enough assets to fight for him. Boston being out makes me think that more.

Yeah it really does suck to lose a guy like Ras. For me he would have been an easy choice to be the next Captain after Backlund is done and honestly with an extension could have taken it over next season. Hanifan to me had more natural talent hence why he was a top 5 pick. But Anderson has that dog mentality. You need a lot of picks to get a guy like him because he's a once a decade 2nd round pick for a team.
