Thats the tweet I've been waiting on. Imminent.

To me its his equivalent to Friedman's "its not done until its done" tweet which is also on the way Im sure but that one usually includes a team name

FWIW Today is a travel day for the Flames. Believe they arrive in Calgary in the afternoon.

I just have to say, everything else aside, I hate that I may have seen Rasmus Andersson play his last game in the Flaming C.

Lebrun and Dreger seem like talking heads more than insiders these days. Babble babble babble without saying anything substantial.

Same. There are certain past players that fans were really proud to have on the team and part of our community. Ras is certainly one of them, a beauty.

Thanks, with the Flames continuing to show a great amount of respect to Andersson and his family I know I can stop checking every 5 minutes until this afternoon.

If Inwas building a team from scratch, I would make sure there was space for a Rasmus Anderson.

Guy is a warrior.

Some great Sec content late night!
I wish I could stay up like that still.

Rasmus's time here has come to an end, you could kind of sense it last night honestly when watching some of his body language. Play on the ice never suffered, the guy has been an absolute warrior for this team and his swagger with SURELY be missed.

As we all know whats going on behind the scenes, the team surely feels it, I think a lot of guys looked up to Rasmus as one the most vocal "leader" in the room, so the impact will be felt for sure.

DET, BOS, DAL, and SJ seem to be the teams most likely to land Rasmus, I've been told its very likely decided already but there was another team that came to the table within the last 36 hours that was "new" to the party.

Could be an interesting day.
Sec can keep us gif'ted throughout the day.

I wonder about NJ. The Hughes seem pissed after missing out on their brother. NJ needs quality D. Would be a good fit for them.

Yeah, it hurts. I'm glad he made the Flames quarter century team, he was one of our true heart and soul players of the past decade. So many great memories over the years and watching him transform from the chubby 2nd round swing trying to salvage the Baertschi mess, eventually growing into a top pair Olympic caliber defenseman has been a treat. A few rough patches here and there, it happens, but overall I loved his attitude, his effort and his blunt honesty.

I wonder if Rasmus had been named captain instead of Backlund whether we’d be having these discussions now. I think he’d still be here.

My favorite thing about Ras was he actually cared about the rivalries. That GAF matters to engage the team in big moments, excite the fans. We need more players that turn things up at the right moments.
