It's CP I don't take anything personally.
It will take more than a spring storm and power outage to keep me away from CP and my adoring fans.

Fairly widespread. Urban areas doing a lot better than rural areas for restoration.

That's fairly standard. Fortis reliability is hideous compared to Enmax. One of the reasons they are that much more expensive than Fortis.

Power's back on here. It went out just after 5 this morning, one minute after my alarm went off.

Still without power at my acreage southwest of the city. That's 31 hours now. Like camping in a big tent last night but toasty.
Had to shower at the mother-in-law's this a.m!!!!

Cause it's "climate change" now. Didn't you know that cavemen caused the ice age?

Winter Storm Warning : City of Calgary
Issued at 3:22 PM MDT Monday 3 May 2010
Summary
Strong winds and snow tonight and Tuesday. This is a warning that dangerous winter weather conditions are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions...Listen for updated statements.
Details
An intense low pressure disturbance tracking across Southern Alberta today and lie over Southwestern Saskatchewan by Tuesday morning. South of the low strong westerly winds near 70 gusting 100 km/h are occurring over Southwestern Alberta and will reach southeastern sections of the province this evening. The strong winds will persist throughout the evening and overnight into Tuesday. As the low progresses eastward, strong northwest winds 60 gusting 90 km/h will develop in the wake of the low. The strong northwest winds will develop in the Red Deer region this evening then gradually spread southward affecting the Hanna Drumheller Airdrie Okotoks and the Brooks regions by midnight. The City of Calgary will mainly be affected during the overnight period. The strong northwest winds behind the low will begin to diminish Tuesday afternoon. Precipitation will change from showers and flurries to snow overnight. Much of the snow will melt on contact with the ground however accumulations may be as high as 5 to 15 centimetres. Higher amounts will occur in regions near the mountains and over the foothills as well as the Cypress Hills. The strong winds combined with the falling snow will also generate blowing snow giving poor visibilities at times.

Always wait until May long weekend.
And I see were going to play the power flickering game already. Yay.
Oddly enough, I can't get access to CP after the power flickers, but all other websites I can.
