Great one. I had Bruce Hart for Gym class - when we happened to be doing dance. It was quite entertaining for him to try and teach us Waltz steps.

Know that the mayor of Albuquerque is evil and is responsible for the Cannons moving there. Just like in the Simpsons episode "Hungry, Hungry Homer".

this happened a while ago...like 9 years ago. I was working at the Stampede Ticket office and I took a call from a lady in Texas looking for rodeo tickets. Helped her out and everything was fine until right after I confirmed her purchase she comes out asks "do ya'll have public transit up there?" to which I responded "nah, but most folk around here are friendly enough to give you a giddyup in their horse." I eventually started laughing and explained how our transit system worked but man, I know that most Americans don't know much about us but it took me by surprise that this lady wouldn't even think that we're developed enough to have something as complex as a public transit system.

Wow I'm old. Went through this whole thread and from start to finish, these are my relevant experiences to the content in here. Lots of great memories.

Partied on red mile
Glass floor at Husky tower
Met Barb Higgins at career day fair In Junior High, and not gonna mention where I met tammi Chrostopher..hehe.
Set fire to the hill above Bow Bottom near the Bonavista Downs (its only a kilometere up the road from Fisk creek park)
Who hasn’t been to the zoo? Have you had your picture taken with the brontosaurus?
Drove two hours north for a good laugh.... and some easy tail.
Sang Christmas carols on buckshot with my kindergarten class.
Played hockey in the dome in the Macs tourney.
Hello Calgary…. “Makes no difference where I go, you’re the best town that I know…..”
Burger Inn… Try the ostrich.
Drunk on electric…. I could be found on the top floor of city limits rockin out to some good ole hair metal.
Bars across from McMahon… i liked Yucitan.
Know the backgrounds in FUBAR. Went to school with Mike Dowse and was friends with TRON growing up.
Illusions arcade… also don’t forget Wizards castle. My haunt was the one in Deer Valley mall.
Been to see the Flames and Wranglers in the Corral.
Kid street… remember how everyone got a free pair of Rucanors for being on that show? My friend that went on was so proud of his crappy shoes.
Watched cool runnings… I was an extra!
Be a Trudeau / NEP hater. It almost bankrupt our family growing up. I'll never forget the day I came home to find my dad (electrical engineer) who is the toughest SOB alive balling with his face buried in his hands because he lost his job, and we were going to lose our home as well.
Public skated at oval, skied at Paskapoo, wintergreen and fortress.
Had Bruce Hart as an english sub in Grade 9.
Been to Boomers, still have my free soccer ball from when they would kick them into the stands at the intro. Cannons (mini helmet sundaes were awesome) and the 88’s. What was the name of those guys that sat in the end bleachers with skull caps?
GT snow racing is done across the road from the 8th hole on Maple ridge Golf course. Back then it was hole 1 of 9.
Corral 4 was awesome. Never forget puking grape crush all over the back seat of the Torino wagon there watching ‘The Black Hole’ And yes also saw T2 about 6 times at Southcentre and Southland cinemas.
And to finalize, as mentioned a lot in the thread. Got uber excited to hear the words ‘hello hockey Fans’ and never got tired of watching Ed getting into it with JR Foley at 1:30 every Saturday afternoon.

Thanks for digging up 35 years of awesome memories with this thread. Its amazing how much you forget about your own life until your reminded.

Time travelled by sneaking into Heritage Park at 2 AM on shrooms.

Gone to the bathroom in Chinook Centre and come out alot older and wiser.

Thought as the the puck has been shot in around the boards "the pucks up on the dasher!".

Climbed on the tanks that were at the entrance to the army base on Sarcee trail.

Had your beer poured out by the cops in Weaselhead park.(Before it became a gay hangout apparently.)

I think it was the Ramada Gods that played at my sisters high school grad in 1989 that I was forced to go to.

The date of this grad was unfortunatly May 25, 1989.

Didn't get to see the whole game, but some people brought portable TVs and when the game was winding down they played it over the speakers.

Thought it was a good idea to eat copious amounts of chinese food at singapore sams on electric after the bars closed, had to stand in line to get in to listen to their extremely loud bar music and awesome disco ball.
