Been out for a run across the featureless prairie of Nose Hill Park, before they paved it, and had a lonely, lonely meeting with a moose . . . . . looking left, then right, then behind you and realizing this thing could stomp you to death for fun because there was no escape.

That's not a Calgary defining characteristic, it's an Alberta defining characteristic.

For me,

- experienced a chinook
- woken up to 4 ft of snow and its sunny and beautiful out
- shoveled a driveway

Yup, Saturday it was. But I think you got more snow there than we got in the city, at least in our area of the city. Still, it had been super gorgeous a few days earlier, then it was drizzly and +3 for our wedding day. Saw a few snowflakes in the morning.

Back on topic...

until you regularly see more snow on May long weekend, than on Christmas day.

Same thing happened this last year at my wedding - only we were married on June 6th. June. As for that person that thinks that everywhere they complain about their weather being unpredictable, that's not true. You know you've lived in Winnipeg if you complain about the weather, and the weather hasn't changed in 6 weeks.
