Thats kinda what makes him World Class. Takes a pretty special player to get 4 on a day when he didnt really play well.

Which part of 4 goals and carrying your team to a win was lucky? Messi is easily the most talented player in the world right now.

Agreed, but he's even better now. It's scary how good he is for only being 22.

It was a joke guys. Even I'm not that ridiculous to think that what he did today was anything but very special.
I still like my boy better though.

would like to see how good Rooney does with Iniesta and Xavi in midfield instead of Ji-Sung Park and Paul Scholes, and vice versa with Messi

I don't know about that. I'd say at least 3 of those goals were all Messi.

Robben hopes to play, and Rooney is doubtful. Might just be the swing that Bayern needed. Thats going to be a GREAT game! Unfortunately the dirty Mancs are probably still heavy favourites.

LOL, Arsenal can give Barcelona a ride when healthy. Apparently you've seemed to forget that Van Persie, Fabergas, Arshavin, and galas are all out with an injury.
Maybe arsenal wouldn't have won, but they wouldn't have gotten the beat down they got if they had those players today.

LOL, Barcelona beat the snot out of Arse without Ibrahimovic, Iniesta, Henry and Puyol. Each and every single one a superior player to one missing for Arsenal. By a wide, wide margin.

Last I checked, Puyol got the red on the penalty. Good player but not a game changer
Henry came in and things went to in Arsenal, his days of being a star are done, he's a good complimentary player.
Imbrahimovic's size kills our soft D. Agreed there.
Iniesta - great player makes a difference.
I'd argue that our 4 injured are a bigger loss to Arsenal then those 4 are to Barcelona. Any rational fan would see that, but your hate for Arsenal clearly stands out in this thread and your views are not logical.
Messi is the best player in the world and showed it today. Arsenal doesn't have a great D its soft, me as a big arsenal fan knows that, but when we're missing our 3 best players offensively we're done. Especially since we're pretty much only offence. The same will go for the premiership, like we barely beat the wolves at home. Not the same without our 3 best players.
But we're young and show lots of promise, just need to get that big brusiing striker to compliment arshavin and some tougher D.

Who on Man U up front or in midfield is world class at this point besides Rooney?
their back end has some world class players in Van Der Saar, Rio, Vidic and Evra
but up front Nani is not, Valencia is not, Berbatov used to be, Park is not, Carrick is not, Giggs and Scholes aren't anymore they are too old.
Messi most games is fed the ball by two of the best 5 midfielders in the world in Xavi and Iniesta, has the one of the best legitimate target man strikers in the world who needs 2 or more men to cover him in the box in Ibra. And while Henry doesn't have it anymore Pedro and Bojan are two of the most promising forwards in the world and if they were on Man U would be starting every game.

As much as I dislike Arsenal I think there is no player more important to his team than Fabregas, so ya they had no chance going in to this game without him
been hearing the young and showing promise for awhile though coming from Wenger and Arsenal supporters, the "next" generation has been coming for quite a few years now and there hasn't be a trophy since the last generation left...
I think Arsene is a little too arrogant for his own good, he wants to build a young team that wins. When he needs to buy to compliment his players. Nicklas Bendtnar is not good enough at this point to be the lone striker for a CL quarter final game if the team wants to progress

OKay, my hate for Arsenal? I'm jsut saying that Barca wasnt exactly at 100% and they dispatched Arsenal fairly easily. Yes, Messi was a big loss.
Anyways, I'm not getting into this.
Go Bayern!!

The White Pele is in the starting lineup, after Fergie said yesterday there was no shot he would be
watch him break his ankle and miss the world cup, FML
Fergie will become a hated man in England if Rooney isn't fully fit to start and reinjures himself

Since he's a Scot, he probably doesn't give a toss about England's chances.
Very surprised that he's risking him. I wonder if Wenger regrets pushing Fabregas and Gallas into the starting 11?

Okay, well, if Rooney;s ready to go, then Man U have a really good chance, but, I see Schweinsteiger and Robben in the Bayern lineup. This pleases me.
Also, Van Bommel is in and ready to go. Excellent.

Sir Alex Ferguson on the inclusion of Wayne Rooney: "It wasn't a serious injury and obviously he wasn't fit for Saturday but the progress in the last two days has been incredible. Yesterday afternoon, he did some real good training. I made my mind up after I saw him yesterday. He's not done a lot of training but we hope the work he's done in the gymnasium compensates. There's no risk as it was a soft tissue injury, not ligament damage. He can play without worry of a recurrence."
|
agree on Bastian (not gonna even try and spell his last name), I think he was just as important as missing Robben in the 1st leg. His return is huge

Well that was quick. 1-0 United. Weaksauce.
However, we have learned that the early goal is of relatively little importance lately.
