Ya I dunno about that penalty but this is a crazy game for Fabregas, gets a yellow so he can't play at his favourite team, scores to tie it up and now he can barely walk but staying in the game.. all the games so far this round besides Inter - CSKA have been awesome!

Was a very clumsy challenge by Puyol and Fabregas sold it. Seems like now when you concede a foul deep with only the keeper to beat, you give up a penalty and usually incur a red card.

I sure didn't see 2-2 coming. That all changed when Walcott came on. I wonder what Capello is thinking.

I can't believe Wenger left Fabregas on after the injury, no way should he been allowed to keep playing. The guy is only 22 and he is really risking some a bad injury.

Where was the ref from? Probably Macedonia or Finland - I still don't understand why FIFA/UEFA continue to not use the best referees from the best leagues.

He was Swiss, but what can you do, English referees have been terrible in big competitions too.

Puyol gets a red for being kicked....

great game for a neutral though, the return leg should be fantastic as well

English referees are probably the worst, starting with Howard Webb who somehow did the inter/cska game today

Howard Webb should have been banned from officiating years ago. How he still has a job is beyond me.

How on earth can a Spurs fan consider himself a neutral where Arsenal is concerned?

That sums up a lot of the tackles in tonight's match and part of the reason why it doesn't sour this draw for me. Fabs was unlucky to get the yellow, there could have been a case for a handball on Alves, and the player Arshavin tackled should have gotten a yellow for blatant simulation.

Although there has been some talk about showing just a yellow for last man back fouls, this is how it has been and should be. A few weeks back Sol should have been sent off when he conceded that spot kick against Hull.

I was thinking the same thing but thought, how is he going to get him off if he really wants to stay on?

The best thing is I have no expectations for that match, I want the league as it's our best bet.

Wasn't that when Bendtner was offside?

haha

I try to stay impartial when they are involved... its hard

and with the Cesc injury and him not being taken off, hadn't they used their 3 subs up?

Yes that is correct they used all the subs so he had to stay on, as per the game itself, I think it was a penalty but it was sold, if he wasn't nudged he probably would have scored.

The fact that the gunners came back against the Giants was impressive, they now have a lifeline in the return match against Barcelona. Anything is possible. Goind down 2-0 to Barcelona would have been a disaster.

This is just a beatdown right now. Arsenal just isn't in the same class.

no Cesc is really showing for Arsenal as well, no one to boss midfield where Barca is dominating

They never were. In brighter news:

Robben hopes to play, and Rooney is doubtful. Might just be the swing that Bayern needed. Thats going to be a GREAT game! Unfortunately the dirty Mancs are probably still heavy favourites.

Clichy = Teh Useless. Am I the only one who just saw the lamest attempt at defending ever almost result in Messi's 4th goal?
