He didn't use it on Lydia because he has no alliance and is trying to get in with who he thinks is in power. Plus, they've assured him Lydia is safe and if anyone else goes up as a replacement they're not confident Russell would still be evicted.
Hopefully, they all have no idea what is in store for them on Thursday. I hope Jeff uses the wizard power and shakes that house up BIG time.

Whats with Chima thinking the POV should respect the HOH's nominations? Whats the point of having a POV challenge then?

I think that Chima may walk out the door on thurs. She's going to be pissed. HOH, noms, and POV all meaningless.
Between Jessie and Natalie, I think Jessie will go. I don't think the HGs will give up that opportunity and Natalie hasn't done anything in the game.

I assume you mean she's going to pack her bags and leave cause Chima cannot be evicted. The HOH, POV winner and the "Wizard" are the only 3 who are safe. You do have to assume that Jordan is safe as well.
Jeff did mention Jessie and Natalie during last night's show...
EDIT: I know it's all been said before, but I've stayed out of this thread for the most part to avoid spoilers... I like being surprised.

IMO Jeff using the Coup only puts a bigger target on his back from the people he pissed off. Why would he use it to protect Russell? Russell hasn't proved to be any more trustworthy than anyone else. There is A LOT of support to get Russell out after he has gotten in so many altercations within the house. Jeff can quietly let this week play out and watch Russell go home without creating enemies.
At the same time, it was smart for Kevin to not use the Veto for the same reason. Lydia is safe! There is no way she goes home if the nominations stay the same. Therefore why would Kevin want to make enemies by using the veto?
As a final note, I think the coup is stupid. It has essentially taken most of the suspense out of the entire week since the only thing that matters is what Jeff decides on Thursday. Why even hold the POV and HOH competitions? Stop trying to write the show and let it play out how it should!

They matter because it weighs on Jeff's mind if he agrees with nominations or not. Like others have said, he is going to piss off 3 people, 1 is gone (jessie), 1 is useless (natalie) and 1 can't compete (chima) for HOH next week. Jessie is one of the strongest competitors IMO, you take this chance to get him out, with no way of him getting off the block.

Yeah exactly, it's a numbers game if Jeff puts up Jesse and Natalie. If Jeff takes off Russell, I'm sure Russell will appreciate it and not go after him for a few weeks at least. If he gets HOH he'll be going after Chima/Michele/Natalie. Without Jesse in the next competition, it's a pretty safe bet to assume that Jeff/Russell are the favourites to win.

ya if Jessie is gone Russell has no one to align himself with but Jeff, which is why I think he uses it. Russell won't/can't go back to Chima/Natalie.
on the live feeds Chima said that the diary room told her there would be problems if she went off during the live show. Most likely means they think that Jeff is going to use the power from the stuff he has said in the diary room.
And Kevin not using the POV on Lydia was weak, he is trying to float his way through the game and I think its going to screw him in the next few weeks.

Speculation is that they might be filming tomorrow's "live" show a bit early just in case Chima blows a gasket.

The fact that Chima might lose it because of the Coup, is probably making CBS very happy. If she loses it, it makes for great tv. Even if she doesn't lose it, the thought that she might is increasing interest in the show.
All that probably means that the Coup d'Etat will be used in future seasons.

Wow, what a psycho. When she goes in the diary room they should just tell her that if she throws anything, hits anything (or anyone) gets in people's faces, and loses control, she'll be automatically evicted. That should contain some of her rage. I can't believe the way she behaves, as if a houseguest can tell Big Brother what to do with their show.
That said, I hope she loses it. I think they should extend Thursday's show if they want to show more. (although I'll be catching reactions immediately after the show on Showtime 2)
CBS should be advertising this episode like crazy. They could promote this and get new viewers to tune in that day and then maybe keep some of them. Its not like there's anything else on.

Well, I'd be super pissed if my nominations were completely overthrown and the HOH I legitimately won meant absolutely nothing, but I wouldn't take it that far.
Roll with the punches and keep competing, instead of throwing a tantrum.
I can't wait to see how Russell reacts to the inevitable change of circumstances. If Chima thought he was terrorizing houseguests before, she probably hasn't see anything yet.

Ya they should just show Chima threating to go crazy, the one I saw today was kind of funny though. It showed Natalie in the DR saying "this is still the Jessie and Natalie show", followed by Jeff saying something about leaning to getting rid of Jessie.

Totally agree. And as brutal as the "terrorist" comment was from that skanky BLANK BLANK, she is right that he terroizes the house. For some reason i don't mind him to much tho.
I think my hatred for Chima and Natalie cloud my judgement on Russell. And FTR i don't find him that attractive.

You know who's not attractive? JESSIE!
I have a friend that keeps telling me she thinks he's kinda cute. I want to shake some sense in to her. How can anyone find arrogant, self centered, shrinky head guy attractive? Gross!
