Oooof that’s a tough one right before half. Very poor keeping. Wahling didn’t follow his man back which is too bad as he had an otherwise strong half

Herdman might be the best player on the pitch which is a huge positive. They’re still in this. Most of their defending looks quite composed and strong. Pumas isn’t really doing much in the final third to create anything of danger

I have never been enamoured by Wahling. I keep waiting to be proven wrong, but I just don’t trust him.

I seem to remember Wahling had a couple games last summer where he really looked like he was going to break out, he was running at defenders, creating things but the goal never came. Then he just kinda faded and Herdman came in and claimed that starting spot. I want to like him, and I’m willing to give him perhaps a larger benefit of the doubt because he’s a very different profile to the other wingers. Big, strong and physical. He just needs to play like it. He’s often too timid, although I have been impressed with his assertiveness and willingness to get forward from a different position tonight so far
