To be fair, his father worked in the foreign service, and the government paid for his fees. He was likely one of the few non-rich kids amongst a crowd of ultra rich kids. People in the foreign service don't make all that much money, but they do have their living expense paid for.

I don't think we'll see another single event create this many top tier memes. The hat toss, blaquaman jumping in a river fully clothed just to go kick some ass, the bodyslam by blaquaman, frat boys trying to act tough and then jumping in the river to escape, and of course the goddamn folding chair. It was a perfect storm of insanity

I have no issue with Christian Bale playing batman with an American accent, if he walks around town after filming still pretending to be Batman it's weird.
