Maybe that's why he became... a Flame.

Johnny Whockey??

I can’t believe with the cap space left by his departure and the acquisition from Tkachuk’s trade because of him immediately also wanting out turned into

Kadri
Huberdeau
Weegar
Schwindt

I don’t think any are close to hitting their peak performance in this roster either which is beyond exciting; there as determined and dedicated to playing the right way as I’ve ever seen a Flames club look, 5-1 and still so much to improve on and tighten up, and not just Sutter knows this but the key parts of the lineup are very vocal in the same ways Sutter is in terms of where the teams play is. Refreshing to say the least.
And a first round draft pick.

I have a rule of thumb, I do not purchase any player jerseys for any of my favorite teams that has a name of a player younger than me. I own like 5 Iginla jerseys, since then I've always bought no name, I purchased a Kadri road white jersey 2 days ago off nhl.com. They were also offering 20% or 25% off, paid $209 for an authentic jersey that was originally $279. Check it out.

Not sure where to post this but ESPNs power rankings are a joke. Last week they were number 2 to Carolina at 1. They beat both Carolina and Pittsburgh and have dropped to five with Pittsburgh passing them who lost twice in Alberta this week.

Power rankings based on opinion might be the most worthless thing ever conceived

They're clickbait. If people click, it's not worthless to the site owners… unfortunately.

It might be amusing to do a Power Rankings Power Ranking:

Take all the power rankings, and compare them to the actual record of each team in its next 10 or 20 games. For a control, rank teams strictly by their place in the standings. See which power rankings, if any, do a better job than the current standings of predicting future results.

I get that, I just think the idea of ranking teams like this is hilarious given the dozens of actual metrics we have at our disposal

But esteemed psuedo journalist/blogger Boaty McBoatface knows better lol
