As Sutter would say, he and Kadri have been in the league a long time, the amount of jersey’s out there wasn’t a surprise, it’s what he is… a star!

Johnny Whockey??

I can’t believe with the cap space left by his departure and the acquisition from Tkachuk’s trade because of him immediately also wanting out turned into

Kadri
Huberdeau
Weegar
Schwindt

I don’t think any are close to hitting their peak performance in this roster either which is beyond exciting; there as determined and dedicated to playing the right way as I’ve ever seen a Flames club look, 5-1 and still so much to improve on and tighten up, and not just Sutter knows this but the key parts of the lineup are very vocal in the same ways Sutter is in terms of where the teams play is. Refreshing to say the least.

oiler fans are delusional. lol wow, ya our center depth is terrible. There's a reason we are 5-1 and the oilers are only .500

Was at the game and that Kadri line was impressive. Markstrom looked solid too besides a few juicy rebounds.

In a lower tier you have Nyquist out of CBJ or Zucker out of Pitt. Dadonov out of Montreal.
Wasn’t it rumored that Flyers were looking at moving JVR with a sweetener? I don’t think the asking price will be huge, even with some retention.

Zucker seems to always be injured, so not keen on him.

To be fair to them they don’t really know what the word “depth” means

That's why we had to coin the term "derpth" to describe the Oilers.

I don't see why. Oilers fans are used to looking up at the Standings.

CP has become too toxic for him. I don't blame him

PGTs won't be the same without him

This place is not fun anymore at least for me a small minority who are so sure of themselves ruin the entire experience. Maybe I'll be back after the Flames win the Cup maybe not but for now I'm out.

Peace to all the great people here.

Teeny tiny sample size so far but this team once gelled is gonna be scary.
I hope we face some serious adversity to see what kind of fight we're capable of....and I'm not talking fisticuffs either.

Just to see this "mature" team show that hey....we can be down but we're never out. It's great to see the focus on our game and not anyone else's.

As Sutter has said before ....don't get too high and don't get too low. That's great advice to stay even keel.

I want so badly for Saturday to just be a great game with no injuries but I fear we will see some shenanigans and it's likely going to come from the refs .

In Edmonton I don't think I've ever seen a team catch so.many undeserved breaks than the oil.

Special teams will be the biggest difference me thinks .

What a difference having good centers all over 50% on the dot huh.....wow.....how many years have we heard," we need centers, we need centers .....meanwhile Brad is over in the corner saying " I got your centers right here "!!!!

Love that this roster was built with determination. Brad's thr man.

Flames have three bonafide centermen that can play on the top two lines, Lindholm-Kadri-Backlund. This is irrefutable.
they stack their top line so frequently that their c depth most certainly is NOT McDavid - drasaitl - rnh - macleod (which the hf people proclaimed)

it's McDavid (double shifted) - rnh (homeless man's Backlund now) - macleod

when draisati goes to line 1 ten or fifteen minutes into the game their lines 2-4 become three energy lines .. or 2.5 energy lines since they can even dress a full roster

they're only elite at C if they keep their lines intact and roll them and they do neither

If you think about it when top teams play each other it won't be one sided. Carolina dominated us for 2 periods we took the 2nd and won. We dominated Pittsburgh for 2 periods they won the 2nd. We dominated Colorado for 2.5 periods, and they charged back in the 3rd. Colorado, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Vegas all pushed us a bit which is to be expected the only outlier was Buffalo, and we took care of a garbage team on the road easily.

PK was awesome in the Carolina game. During the 8 minutes of PK, Flames had 4 shots and Hurricanes had 3.
