In all 4 of the interviews including Darryl's, they mention the experience and the leadership in the room. Obviously something that's been talked about inside the room and something that all three of those players consider to be the value that they bring to the team.

Calgary needs to stop developing good goalies because they just end up coming into town playing for other teams and standing on their heads here.

This was the ATL winner by a long margin. So stupid and so funny at the same time.

Huberdeau is unreal and still finding his game here. Some of those passes are so fun to watch. And he plays grittier than I’d expected, not sure if that is something new to his game thanks to Sutter or if he has always been that way? He definitely has a ton of compete in puck battles and was throwing his body around a ton.

The unsold seats are upper bowl and press level. Lower bowl is all seasons. People sometimes don’t show on school nights.

Good to see the team’s work ethic is still in top form. Not sure there’s a harder working club in the league which should serve the team well in the regular season. Have to give the 4th line a lot of credit for bringing the energy given the limited ice time. They really helped to fuel the powerplay along with the momentum shift needed for the comeback.
Didn’t follow the story much, but can’t believe it took so long for a team, any team to sign Kadri for $7M. Dude is an absolute gamer. He along with Bread and maybe Backs have probably been the best forwards on the team so far.

I think through no fault of his own he was put on a line with Gaudreau and Monahan. Monahan was becoming a liability himself due to his injuries and Ritchie was a 4th liner. blame was on the coach though for stubbornly sticking to that line combo for so long

I bet Ritchie is glad he didn't take that deal with the Oilers...they would give him 30 seconds of ice time a night

Kadri has this Iggy vibe about him. Seems driven and quite engaged on the bench. A smart and a hard nosed worker. Hard to believe this guy is not a product of the Sutter bloodline.. .

Probably would make a great coach for one day if he soaks in a little bit of Sutters knowledge.

Wonder where the empty seats are? Home opener looked full

Character win by the Flames and good vibes all around. For me this seems like a mature team that knows what it takes to win. Lots of Stanley cup experience but also a desire and will to get to the next level. Not trying to knock Johnny or Tkachuk but never really felt the engagement to winning even when things were good. This team is showing a very workmanlike attitude with a desire to get to the next level. Exciting three games so far and the results speak for themselves. Lots to be excited about and as fans let’s do our part and ensure we have a sold out house that is rocking every night.

Nope. Same as last year, lower bowl is not all seasons and regularly has many seats unsold in the corners and upper middle section on the higher part of the lower bowl.

Last year they started moving season ticket holders from upper sections to these sections so that the lower bowl would be full.

I wonder if Logan Thompson didn't have tons of family and friends watching him from the stands today.

The Oilers lose against their hometown goalie (Eric Comrie, another The Brick scion like Mike Comrie) while Calgary beats ours (Logan Thompson).
