If markstrom even plays a bit better, it’s maybe 9-4.

Flames outshot them 48-28

A win’s a win and the Flames are up 1-0 in the series. I was never even nervous even when the Oilers tied it up. Flames would have scored as many as it takes lol.

Flames are the better team, they still got 48 shots vs Oilers 28. Maybe an off night for Markstrom but he still made some good saves.

Good to see some of the Flames depth players get on the scoreboard like Rasmus Anderson and Blake Coleman too.

And Tkachuk with the hatty, you sure see a lot of his jerseys among Flames fans.

Good win.

I had to watch the ESPN broadcast tonight. The commentary a full second ahead of the play. So 15 goals I knew were scored before I saw them scored. Horrible.

Will go back to finding the Canadian broadcast on Friday.

Flames can score at will and frankly slept for a bit because of it.
Bad first goal by Markstrom by Hyman.
Hyman second goal Zadorov with his replacement stick didn't get over and cover post.
Hanifan let's Yamamoto open on 6-6 goal along with pic from linesman. Simpson clueless in blaming Andersson.

Flames not ready for pressure and puck battles the Oilers do better than Dallas in Flames zone, very opportunistic. At other end, Oilers no match for any Flames line if we have possession.

Simpson was all Oilers all the time. I like how he said the next goal was key for Flames at 3-1 and score 20 seconds later.
Cuthbert more excited for Oilers goals.

My kid working in Glacier just told me he made a correct bet on the score and Tkachuk scoring the final goal. Not sure if I’m being had.

I never thought the defense was all that bad...but Markstrom would like to have goals 4, 5, and 6 back. All three goals looked like mirror images of one another.

I also liked Bieksas comment about Markstrom playing up to Ottenger and playing down to Smith

Jay Woodcroft seems pretty happy that his team scored six goals.

Not a chance Oil wagon is hooked to Stinkeye McGee.

If they won 8-2 like they should have they might not be as focused for next game

might be a good thing in the end...for them, my nerves on the other hand

At 6-2 I’m feeling:

After it was tied I’m feeling:

In the last 5 minutes I’m thinking:

And on to game 2…

If Smith starts Friday and the Flames can score early or score a questionable one in the 1st in general... he will be ruined as far as his ego and confidence goes.

Smith plays game 2 IMO

Flames need to worry about themselves though

6 was not like 4 and 5. You are thinking of 3.
