The entire play happened because of it though...I said he bounced back after a shaky start. Its not heroic when you cause the problem in the first place.

Coverage was fine until the rebound was botched

Rumour in the summer is they were shopping Girard. Got outmuscled in the Vegas series and wanted to get bigger.

If Kylington had kept coverage on Landeskog behind the net the play would have been a routine ‘near miss’ event.

I don’t want to argue, the entire team played great and Vladar showed we have depth at all positions.

I’d like to point out that not only did Lindholm score the 2 one time goals in the first, and make the great defensive play and pass on the OT winner, but he was also the screen in front of Keumper on Gudbrandsons goal.

I know it’s been said already, but amazing game by 28.

They’re silly for ever trading away Zadorov, even if it was for Saad

The image says it all. In an epic battle between elite players, Gaudreau and Lindholm made it happen for the Flames.

Quick nitpick: To me best game of the year was Flames defeating NYR while the whole arena was chanting "Fox you suck". The best part of course was Fox scoring a goal, gloating to the home crowd, only to have said goal disallowed after review.
--This game was still amazing though.

Dream playoff scenario that is totally going to happen:
Flames avenge their playoff loss to Dallas
Flames murder the Oilers
Flames avenge their playoff loss to Colorado
Flames avenge their playoff "loss" to Tampa Bay

That is a huge friggin two points

Looked pretty messy at times but honestly watching colorado I don’t know how they ever lose. That Makar-Toews pair is just broken, way too much talent through the lineup.

Is there a world where Edmonton, Vegas and Vancouver all miss playoffs? I guess that would require cheering for Anaheim? (Gross)

I think the Flames could successfully bully the Avs over a 7 game series.

The mix of head games and physical dominance could play in their favor, even if they don't quite measure up on skill.

Chucky was causing meltdowns by mid game, and also put up 3 points. Bodes well.

They (except maybe Kylington) might be slower than Mackinnon, but if you can even limit him to 1 point like tonight, your chances are good.

Avs PbP was gold especially the moment Johnny scored.

Am I crazy to think Toffoli should get a look on the second line? Maybe give him a shot with Backlund and Mangianpane to see how that works?

They're so dismissive of the loss too. Basically chalking it up to our top line having a good game.
