There was a time I really hoped the Flames would find a nice coach that the players loved playing for so much that they would go to war for him.

This team doesn't deserve that.

They need a chef Ramsey and I can't stand chef Ramsey

At this point, I really need football back, whether coaching or watching. I haven't been as passionate about hockey and the Flames that I used to be. NHL is placeholder for football for me.

Whatever.... that... is.....

I also don't see the reason to dress Mackey if you are going to bench him, why not dress Nesterov?
8:36 for Mackey. As you say, if you don't trust him, dress Nesterov as he was totally fine taking a regular 3rd pairing load.

Just stabbing in the dark at this point

Maybe if he does fire the coach Tre gets to live another season... if he doesn’t he goes down with Ward...

You know you dun'fu**'ed up when fans of both teams agree...that was a boring, uninteresting game to watch, and who won in the end didn't really matter.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your "Battle of Alberta"...

Man, this season has really been a big disappointment so far.

The coach and the team is just sucking the life out of me.

No, it sure doesn’t look like it.

Unless there’s something he’s been told over and over he has to do and just isn’t doing. Or maybe it wasn’t about that play.

Really? He went away from the puck and to the far post where there were two defensemen. I can see why Ward would think that was a pretty big and dumb mistake on Bennett's part. Bench worthy for the rest of the game when Monahan is out? No, but still a pretty stupid play by Bennett.

It didn't feel like we had any actual scoring chances though for basically in comparison. Johnny created the Andersson goal for (with a great shot of course), but almost nothing else came close other than a Lindholm post on the PP.

This team feels neutered.
That’s the thing, It’s not good defense if you have to play so passive that you can’t generate anything offensively.

The team is neutered and it’s by Wards coaching staff.

Ha, these are millionaires on guaranteed contracts. I mean honestly, pro players make the decisions in the dressing room, they quit with not repercussions. You bench them, who gives a crap, the paycheck just shows up the next day.

This team plays like its entitled. Harda$$ coaches don't work anymore, its all players coaches, Torts will run out of rope, and the players quit playing for him and don't care.

We might as well have a guy behind the bench holding a tablet running a hockey algorithm.

The Flames sure need a lot of salt in their game tho...

Bennett was the first forward back, but as the Centre he needs to be on strong side of the ice. Staying on the weak side allowed Haas to sneak across for the tap-in.
