Solid team effort all around, everyone showed up and played their part. Smith is a gem and awesome he is back, really liked the bottom 6 play lots of times they held the puck in offensive zone and even generated a few chances, can’t ask for more.
Going to be a really interesting last few weeks. Gonna be fun!

Sorry, was watching the game on mute. I thought it was called back due to an early whistle.

I’d be concerned it takes a complete defensive breakdown to score a goal against a team that played like horse #### tonight.

You should be concerned about whether or not you see the play-offs in the next few years. With the Oilers' cap situation next year they're going to be worse than this year.

That wasn't the case tonight.

It was an even game...Flames buried a chance
certainly not stolen, 27 shots

There's gotta be another 'this guy scored' meme from tonight's game winner.

So proud of our boys tonight! I knew this game was all the Oilers had left this season and McDavid was going to bring his A-game( did he leave the ice!?) can't believe the refs gave them a pp At the end of of the game what a joke. We deserved to win that game no doubt, without McDavid the Oilers would be bottom two in the league. No Tkachuk as well, he lives for these games. Great win boys!!!!!😊👍🍻

I don't understand, why are people still trying to find something bad about this game? The team has shutout the Oilers, gotten 2 points, be happy about it, at least just for the night. Whatever flaws you see in the team tonight, worry about it tomorrow.

Wow, the bottom 6 sure proved me wrong. The 'third' line didn't look special but they got the job done. Definitely were in their element when the rough play started in the third.
I still think Jankowski comes back for the next game, but Shore stepped up. And you've got to be crazy to scratch Stajan the way he's been playing the last few weeks. He had some great plays tonight, and was one of the best Flames players in Ottawa the other night.
This win was all Smith though...in the end of the day, I doubt Rittich or Gillies get the shutout with those shots that he faced.

Hamonic was absolutely great. Which doesn’t make your last statement right though.

Mike Smith was incredible tonight. I don't get how the refs don't call that trip on Brouwer(?) in the last minute.

Smith was outstanding.
Johnny's goal showed some sic hands in close.
Johnny gets crunched nobody does anything which I guess shouldn't be a surprise with this team.
D played solid.
Too much 4th line & Stewart btw is total garbage.
If the Flames don't make the playoffs it is what it is, but beating that butt stain McDavid and his band of ref whiners felt good. Shutting them out was icing on the cake especially with super weak call with 1:53 left to give them their desperation fixed 6 on 4 chance.
McBaby likley is bitching on the flight back to Grease Country.

I thought the 4th line played very well, including Stewart.

Backlund line did their jobs, bottom 6 was good, and the top line managed to score. Well executed GG hockey. It works but the Flames need to he focused and disciplined, and they were tonight.
Smith is my hero. I sure hope the Flames can make it to the playoffs for his sake.
