Ive never understood the surprise for Tanner Glass being a good fourth liner.
It is not that he has played for ####ty teams out side of one year (Winnipeg). Canucks ( cup final years) Pittsburgh anf New York.

Jagr: "There were some shifts where we were able to play down low. After my legs come back, that's going to be a little bit different."

Haynes just tweeted that the last time the Flames got a sweep in Southern California, Kelly Hrudey was in goal for the Kings.

I think even when he gives up a goal or 2 the team still plays with confidence knowing he is going makes save. Elliot on the other hand would let in bad ones when least expected which was very deflating.

What I can't get over is the number of 'tap in' goals this year. They aren't snipes because the cage is wide open after these passing plays. I love it!

Smith hs masked a lot of deficiencies so far this season, the biggest of which has been an awful transition game. Once LA started skating, they owned the neutral zone and the balance of play as a result. The Flames need to work on completing passes and on being in the right position to receive breakout passes.
Actual defensive zone defending has been good, but too many times, a defender will get a puck but have no breakout options and then he'll give it away. Some can't be helped (Bartkowski) but the other 5 can do better than we've seen so far.
The PP zone entry is good, but is way too predictable. It needs another option, or at least the threat of another option.
Other than that, the team seems pretty good.

He also passed through waivers multiple times and played in the AHL for the past 2 seasons despite making 1M in actual salary. It's probably surprising to 30 other GMs that he's playing well and not just a couple CP posters...

Jagr just took over the forecheck and took the guy to the boards with such strength. Was great to see that play.
Tkachuk was a total pro. I think we will have Doughty losing his stuff Meme's for a long time.
Johnny was wicked. Monahan for the composure.
Smith was awesome in net and kept us in when the team dropped out a bit. Just pumped!

It would be nice to have a list somewhere of the primary forums for other teams. I never know where to look.

That was an amazing game! I love hockey!
When was the last time the Flames started a season 3-1?
