Does it lower the price though? Supply went down more than demand after that trade.

Sharp has injury issues and apparently isn't being traded.

Sharp actually makes the least amount of sense because it's been reported he won't be traded due to health concerns.

Joe McDonald @ESPNJoeyMac
The New York Islanders are talking with teams about
Joshua Ho-Sang, according to a league source.

If so I wouldn't pay it. Not sure why Vanek would be worth less than Vrbata.

I would like to see Evander Kane come to town if the price is cheap enough

Yep. One forward is now off the market, so the price shouldn't go down for the next best one left.

If it does, I would be surprised, but that is usually not how markets work.

Doesn't he still have a year left on his contract at 5.3 million?

I don't see how a third round pick is cheap for a 20 game rental. Add to the fact it's Vanek who has a pretty up and down history I think it's fair market value.

Vrbata is better than Vanek as well so I think it just made the price higher, not lower.

Vrbata was playing 5min a night more, more points, generally more useful.

Plus now that Vanek is gone the price goes up

I wouldn't pay that either

Ho-sang could be a real gem since his hard lesson he had to learn about being a pro and what it takes to get there.

I would do 4th Rd pick or someone who doesn't seem to have much of a chance ever making the Flames like a Wotherspoon or perhaps someone like Austin Carrol or someone of that ilk.
