I've started to believe that the Flames fired Hartley when they did because they really were going to go after Boudreau and we're confident they could get him. But he said no thanks before they could even try to negotiate. So the search began. And so did the story of how they never asked him came about.

What happened. ... I was watching on pvr and saw that flames were out shooting the stars 8-1. Accidentally saw the score on my phone and they end the first down by 2???

So disappointing to see the same ####ty effort game after game. One or two players try hard, the rest seem unsure whether they are in the offensive zone or the defensive zone. I fear it will get a lot uglier.

Watch teh game - those three players aren't skating. Aren't passing. Terrible give aways. they're playing like garbage. Whats Johhny and Monahan's plus/minus?

Young guys are still learning - and this is pretty rough lesson they're learning right now.

That was exactly what I liked about Hartley. It was a losing season, but he entertained me and kept me watching. This season the Flames might be the last team in the league and they're not even entertaining, so I mine as well watching something else I enjoy

I'm sure the pressure of the new contracts are weighing on Monahan and Gaudreau too. Giordano and Brodie are baffling though. I suspect playing the left side might factor into it.

Also great fight from Ferland, I'd like to see more of that from him.
