I watched the Dallas feed tonight. Boy was it enjoyable! From their perspective Dallas did Dallas things in the first. In the Second Dallas was lucky to be up because Flames were taking a half second too long and just missing grade A chances. Period three was a mix of both Dallas being a turnover machine and Flames forcing them plus grade A chances. Topped off by Benn's comments after the game
I missed Benn's comment. What did he say?

Ramo gave him top shelf, but Smid was completely out of position and Spezza than blew by him. At the game he looked like he was going in slow motion in that play.
Except that's not remotely how it happened. Spezza cheated on the backcheck, it paid off as he leaked out a step ahead of Smid. Smid sprints back and cuts off the passing angle forcing Spezza into a terrible angle shot you want the opponent taking 1000 / 1000 times a game.

Late... but despite giving up 3, when Ramo had to make saves, he made the saves.
I've said this all season, but goaltending is only a problem when you have it, but when you don't have it... its your biggest problem. Ramo may have let in goals early, but its not always about how many goals you let in (or how many saves) but its the timely saves, and we got it tonight. (And posts on both sides)
When we have goaltending, we're OK. When we don't have it, we're crap.
LOL at Raymond out there in clutch. He's either a key guy or in the press box. I don't really get it, but ok.

Calgary Flames @NHLFlames
"The fans are great in this building to us." - Johnny Gaudreau on the #CofRed's support in the comeback win tonight.
You're welcome
Was lucky to go to Chicago game and this game. Great stuff. Now gotta actually use it to build momentum and turn around this season. Need at least 4-1 on this home stand.
He was completely demoralized. He was asked if e could take anything positive out of the game and he said "no I don't think so. It was embarrassing." He was also asked if he thinks that it was Calgary that pushed to get the win or if it was Dallas that held back or a bit of both. He said "No they pushed hard and they deserved the win." Music to my ears!

Yah, Benn sounded like someone shot his dog, he was so dejected. It was actually kind of uncomfortable to listen to, and I felt bad for the guy interviewing him (Josh Humphries I think?) Lots of awkward pauses and silence.
And this is why we continue to watch this team as a fan. You just never know what the hell will happen and it can be entertaining as hell. Thanks for this one Flames. So needed this boost. Good on ya'...now keep it going.

Got back from the game what a high.
The Dome went from groans courtesy of all those posts and in close chances. Then came the 3rd period, the building went to a sense of relief finally one went in. The second goal brought excitement that well they have made it a game now. The 3rd by Hamilton blew the roof off.
The OT it seemed Dallas was going to finish off the Flames, but full marks to the team to weathering the storm and could not have stepped up better in the Shoot out. 3 for 3 are you kidding me, just WOW!

All I have to say is that I waited since last season for Flames hockey, and it seems like it is finally here.
a 3 goal comeback - check
killing a penalty in OT - check
3 for 3 in the shootout - and you have yourself a beauty of a game.
