I don't buy the B2B excuse - we're likely carrying 7D one way or another. Injuries can happen at a morning skate/so can the flu. Having someone ready to go has been Hartley's MO since he got here.

I can't say the viewpoint of an Oilers fan so ashamed of his team that he pretends to be a Flames fan on a Flames message board is terribly concerning to me.

Good for Byron, he should be a top 12 forward there, as opposed to a bubble guy here.
He likely wasn't part of the long term plans here, as there are so many guys pushing for roster spots who are under team control longer and have more upside
