I thought they were pretty lazy. With Canada playing like garbage, giving him more minutes is risky.

USA has good goaltending and they hate Canada as much as anyone so they always get a boost against them. Sweden is the home team and it's the big rink, which gives the edge to Sweden. Russia is fast & talented and they are used to the big rink also.
Finland out of those 5 teams is the weakest candidate, because they only have one good line and that's not gonna get them anywhere.

Fair enough.
I don't agree with the US stuff but the possibility certainly is there for Canada to get beat by any of the other big 4.

One was dumb, one was soft.
I think it is a good time for Brent Sutter to make a point that hopefully will ensure these types of plays don't happen later when the games matter.

Horrible shift from Drouin. Turn the puck over much?

Absolutely, shows a lack of maturity too.

If this goes to a shoot out Canada should win. Watched a few Tigers games that went to shoot out and Hammer isn't the greatest at them.

Horvat with b2b bad passes that lead to rushes the other way.

Canada has been awful in the 4 on 4.
Way to many guys just throwing it away for no reason.

So moon can be (over)critical of every team in hockey but when it comes to the Canadian junior team they're immune? Interesting.. I think we may have finally found our moon repellant.

Petan has just been terrible. I haven't seen much of him outside of this tourney, but IMO, he's one of those "low hockey IQ" players.

How are they immune? I have criticized them in this very thread, multiple times.
Perhaps you should focus on the game and leave the comments about the poster for PMs.

Has Brent improved with his shootout selection in the last couple of years?

Should've played McDavid in OT. They could've used his speed.

This OT was tough to watch, Canada looked to be a half step behind the Czechs and didn't maintain much pressure at all. Dumba actually looked quite good however.

Horvat and Drouin killed any rush they had in OT with their turnovers.

With our goaltending, the shootout does not favor us I fear

Canada better figure out how to play a better team game. The only time they look even remotely like a unit out there is when they get it down low and cycle, other than that they seem like a group of individuals making poor decisions.

Any kind of side to side deke, a la Colborne, should work on Hammer. He's not the tallest goalie there for lateral movement post to post seems to be a weakness of his.
